    Okay, "Subterranea" arrived today, and although AllMusicGuide claims it's the same Steven Miller as "Singing Whale Songs in a Low Voice," this album sounds NOTHING like that one. This is heavy electronic music, using a lot of tape manipulations and some Javanese sound sources.

    It's a pretty nice album on its own merits, but I'll be REALLY SURPRISED if this is the same guy.

    Thanks for that detailed answer. I'm just not at all familiar with all the ins and outs of digital music, its possibilities and limitations.
