    Creepy as f.....

Who needs horror films like Chucky, Puppet Master, and Annabelle, when we had nightmare inducing kids programmes like this?

It was a bizarre show, but it was popular around here. That creepy host was Fergie Olver, who was also a radio announcer for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Haven't thought about that show in many years...

How about a gay cowboy dinosaur who hangs out with a young English boy who has a magic flute in a land of hallucinogenic insanity?

Hmmmm... it's certainly extremely inappropriate, especially by today's standards, but it's not necessarily creepy, imo, not in intent at least. But the Scorpion's Virgin Killer cover- that was bad. Creepy icky and probably illegal.

Yeah, I agree at the time it was done people were more exceptive of nudity compared to these day and there was no mal intent even if it is inappropriate, i.e. the blue lagoon movie with Brooke Shields now would have deemed very inappropriate too, ok now Scorpion's on-the-other-hand, I had to google that album cover and that one is certainly beyond creepy.

Anyone played Roy Harper's "Forbidden Fruit" lately?

Does it matter that this waste of time is what makes a life for you?

is that Phil Collins in Dave's post?

Anyway, I watched about three minutes of Torchy The Battery Boy. I don't get what's so creepy. Yeah, the eyes and eyebrows of both puppets are weirdo, but I find it more humorous than anything. Love those British accents, and I really think it takes a lot of talent to bring those things to life.

Not creepy but hilarious (to me anyway). Anyone who might've grown up in the SF/Oakland Bay Area in the 60s and 70s might remember these 2 dopes: Charley and Humphrey

I think Humphrey is the dog. Just look at that face. He looks a little like Barney Fife.......

Charley and Humphrey, part of my childhood.

Speaking of “part of my childhood,” this had me diving behind the sofa in terror:

Recently learned that it was none other than renowned slide guitarist “Sneaky” Pete Kleinow who was responsible for this. In between session gigs, he created extremely unsettling stop-motion animation for TV commercials. I wonder if he was also responsible for Swiss Miss.

So that's what that clip in Pulp Fiction was, Clutch Cargo?

If you had asked me what clutch cargo was a couple of minutes ago I would have assumed it had something to do with cargo cults. IOW, I wouldn't have had a clue. Looking this up I find this was referenced in the Max Headroom piracy incident. You think CC was creepy you should check that one out. Seriously. To this day they don't know who did it or why and that only makes it creepier.

*shrug* - not much different from pirate radio, izzitnow? don't see much creepiness in this, but YMMV...

ETA: Was this 'dpcumentary' a college project? Gotta laugh at the narrator's "objectivity" ("Chicago Tribune...the world's greatest newspaper..." )

I always thought the numbers being read st the end of PT's "Four Chords" sounded creepy. Then I researched and realized there's a whole creep of a world out there that I don't want to know.
I want to dynamite your mind with love tonight.
