Define "rockin'".
And remember, you're not allowed to use the term in the definition.
ELP - Karn Evil 9, 1st impression part 2 rocks pretty good.
Yes - Siberian Khatru rocks pretty good too I think.
Hackett - Ace of Wands is a good call
A lot of newer bands too such as the Flower Kings and I'm sure many prog metal acts as well.
ELP-Karn Evil 9 1st Impression Part 2
Yes-Roundabout
Jethro Tull-Cross Eyed Mary
Edgar Winter Group-Frankenstein
Soft Machine-Facelift(Third).Parts of this rock like a mofo.
"please do not understand me too quickly"-andre gide
A very good choice. Hard as all get out, but my vote goes to Red as the rockingest of the classic prog songs
and yes I know that lots of bands have done metal/prog metal/ stoner rock that is mucho heavier, but (gasp) is it prog?
And no, Yes really wasn't into riffage, even when Steve Howe was kickin' Z sh_t out of Yours is No Disgrace (see Progeny thread)

I'll go with Home by Dream Theater
Thing is though, a lot of newer prog bands like DT are more rock and metal by definition than their 70s predecessors. So in my mind this is really about rockin' prog prior to 1980. BTW I had forgotten abot Red but I personally still give a slight edge to Peel The Paint. The Danger Money album has some contenders though- Carrying No Cross, Caesar's Palace Blues, The Only Thing She Needs- hell, it may get the award for most rocking prog album ever overall!
Lots of Nektar and most everything from Sounds Like This, but I'll go with Crying in the Dark with King of Twilight of of Tab in the Ocean
Genesis "The Knife"
After reading The Knife, I want to change my vote:
Genesis: "The Cage," Three Sides Live version
Echolyn - 'As the World' and 'The Cheese Stands Alone' are pretty rocking prog tunes.
Oops.
Excuse me for not using the correct vernacular.
That should read rockin' not rocking.

And if there were a god, I think it very unlikely that he would have such an uneasy vanity as to be offended by those who doubt His existence - Russell
Well, for most rocking my suggestions would come from Arena, Threshold, DT and similar.
D'oh ....
