Disc 1 is rather fine... though not likeit it's on the level of one of their albums between 69 & 74

The first track of disc2 is about as fine as they've ever done (love the flute)... but the rest of that disc isn't all that great.... and disc3 is... meeeehhh!!!...

    read what I wrote above

Well worth one hearing or two, yes (the first disc is a keeper)... but owning it?? not IMHO

it's also got a bizarre format... more like a 10" vinyl boxset (instead of 12")...

I think that was only the first run that had the 10" box, right? Man, I think there's a lot more than a song or two on this one.

I said that the whole first disc is good... I've only seen one version (10")of that boxset... It's not a big deal though... just stickit betweebn your other boxsets (if you've got any)

It's been a really great year for Zappa records. I'm really enjoying the Road Tapes volume and Finer Moments has a nice flow to it. And I got the Carnegie Hall concert for Xmas. So lots of Zappa right now to digest!

i've seen a few around in stores, but I don''t need v any (got what I need), except for maybe Sleep Dirt (which I'd like to have in both versions)

Are there any bonus tracks and revised booklets on these reissues or is it the same stuff just re-released??

Thank you so much I didn't even know that it was re-released on CD except in the Anthology boxset "chemin de traverse"
