Parsons coming to the USA? And here I thought he has been living there for years now. According to Wikipedia he resides in Santa Barbara, California so this is pretty much a show in his backyard.
He played in Connecticut a few weeks ago, I had excellent seats but alas the bad weather at the time did me in.

Alan and His Live Project performed here in Buffalo with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra on January 30th. So amazing with the orchestra backing up. And a great group along with him also.

Most of the NYC show is on youtube-

Saw them back about four years ago or so with my aging uncle. It was the only concert I've ever been to that had punch and cookies after the show.
Do not suffer through the game of chance that plays....always doors to lock away your dreams (To Be Over)
I want to open for them with my band.
Btw yes he lives in the US already and I think he plays here often but... great! I wish I saw them with the full orchestra. That must have been fantastic.

Squids-like so many other big prog bands these days, no opening band usually!
I saw him at Yoshi's Oakland in May of 2014. Small venue, great sound, large fun.
Seeing him in London next month. Looking forward to it! Hope the current band does justice to the tunes.

Saw him in Sept in St. Charles, Ill. and will see him again May 29. I never tire of his music and the show is top notch.
A.C huh?
VERY tempting.
Any recent live recordings available? Just have Alan Parsons Live from 1995 or thereabouts.
It was Fantastic. Not that this current lineup really needs it, but the Orchestra added such an amazing fuller sound.
If possible, see the show as with or without an Orchestra, it will be worth seeing/hearing.

Saw him last year at the Silver Reef Casino, Ferndale, WA
Wow, I almost missed this, but Alan Parsons is coming to the US in 2019, and to my local prog venue, the Tarrytown Music Hall.
Fortunately I just saw the email from the venue, and member sales look like they're slow for some reason, so I booked my favorite seat for the show! Never seen AP before, so I'm very excited for this.

I'm going to see him tomorrow night at the Keswick.
Music isn't about chops, or even about talent - it's about sound and the way that sound communicates to people. Mike Keneally
hitting the show tonight in Bethlehem as tomorrow's Keswick show coincides with Jeff Tweedy's book reading/singing at the Free Library the same evening
I've seen the band on this tour in Clearwater over the spring; as good as they ever were, and the setlist keeps expanding. the tour started as an 'full I Robot plus hits' tour but has changed since (tour before that was the Turn of a Friendly Card inspired set.) they added one latter-day APP song that was probably the least expected in my book. just a thrill to see this material performed. dig it!

Would have loved to see the full I, Robot or ToaFC! I'd prefer that and hits to just hits and other assorted songs, though that'd still be fine. The show here isn't until March. Maybe they'll do the full Pyramid?
Anyway, I wouldn't call seeing Parsons "bucket list for me," but it is something I've always missed out on seeing, and didn't really think I'd get to see, so having them at a nearby venue will be great. He's one of those artists I've only seen photos of, never even seen him on video.
Does Alan play keyboards?
