Speaking of female electronic music pioneers, here's a contemporary lady carrying on in their footsteps by the name of Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith:

There's a collaboration with her and the aforementioned Suzanne Ciani floating around out there as well.

Very nice! I was lucky enough to see a Buchla performance and talk by Suzanne Ciani in Philly one day followed by a piano performance and talk the next day. Both were outstanding!

I just heard for the first time of Claire Dickson. She will release her second album The Beholder in March, but you can already hear one track from it on Bandcamp: https://clairedickson.bandcamp.com/album/the-beholder
Her previous album, Starland, is also on Bandcamp.
For lovers of vocals and strange synth-sounds.
