Hmmm.... I might go to one of the Toronto shows. Haven't seen them since R30! If I go, it will be my tenth time seeing them. But if the ticket prices are astronomical, I'll pass. I hate seeing concerts in enormous venues like the ACC anyway.

It seems that each show is pretty much identical, set list, even the solos are choreographed.

Show 1 will be pretty much identical to show 2 and show 3 and even show 34.

I guess people treating this like a Grateful Dead like experience must really really like the band.

    I'll wait for the video.

Yes! They're playing MSG! I don't think they've played in NYC since those last Radio City shows ( I think they did some anyway) and I don't think they've played the Garden since Counterparts.

    A Monday night though. Frack.

I haven't seen them since Vapor Trails.

a music lover like you must surely understand that a live show performed by musicians can be seen a few ways: some live ensembles are shows of execution, like many of the Prog acts discussed here on ProgEars; we go to see musicians "play it like the record", while the Dead and Sonic Youth are more of a loose and jazz (i.e.: playing off another) oriented improv style. some acts, like the Replacements or Guided by Voices shows are 'renditional executions' of their catalog performed with less reverence than say a Prog act

I'm glad that you can substitute an edited and cleaned up digital video presentation over the sound waves of a live gig!!! more power to you

but seriously, RUSH's last tour offered some variety for the multi show goer, 3 different sets with generally a 2 song variant between setlists. a RUSH show mos def is choreographed with all of the production they do, but they still PLAY and they always seem to have a good time doing it

I'm looking forward to seeing how they make this tour's setlist special

It's been a while for me - can't remember the last time I saw them. R30, maybe? And my girlfriend owes me after dragging me to a Springsteen show.

Oh great, Chicago date is on the Friday that is usually the date of my daughter's dance recital.

I was hoping to catch them one last time, as I haven't seen Rush since 1987.

I saw one of the Clockwork Angels shows and enjoyed it so much that we saw it a second time in another city, practically the same setlist with a 2 song variant and we enjoyed it even more.
    go figure.

Looking forward to the '15 tour.

Sure wish they would throw a Grand Rapids gig in between the Chicago and Detroit dates since they have a day off. Probably not though since it looks like they are playing every other day for the most part.

i'm hesitant as i'm not sure i could take hearing Geddy wheeze his way through these songs any more (there's more than enough evidence on the DVDs)...i'd go solely for the instrumentation as i haven't seen Rush since the Vapor Trails tour too...but again, ehhhhh.

    They won't.

They've been doing this "every other night" thing for a few tours now. Geddy is not up to singing two nights in a row any longer.

Boy, Scott, she owes you much more than a Rush show,if you ask me.

I think I last saw them on R30, too. It was a great show. But, Geddy's singing tends to grate me these days. A killer set list could get me to go. But, hell, I saw them on AFtK, PW, MP and Signals tours, too, so I have plenty of memories from the heyday.

She's already gone with me to Flying Colors, and with my daughter and I to Bruno Mars. We should be just about even with Rush.

Note: From the presser, this tour "will most likely be their last major tour of this magnitude."

Best way ever to market a tour.

I haven't seen Rush live since 1987, but I'll pass. I really have a hard time listening to Geddy sing these days. I like the R30 stuff but anything I've heard after that has made me cringe.

No Cleveland show, either, from the looks of it. Hmmm, I'll have to see what the setlist is like.

I'll head to at least one of the shows--quite a few are within easy driving distance, for a change.

I haven't seen them since Vapor Trails.
Caught them on their Clockwork "M.F." Angels tour in Brooklyn, Oct. 2012; they played in June of 2013 too at Jones Beach but I opted not to go again. Thought they were great, same set deterrent.
Prolly catch them at The Garden. Depending on work schedule...and setlist. Well, mostly work. Monday night is not helping either.
