I really like this one:
I finally decided to bite the bullet and pick up this CD [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...ie=UTF8&psc=1] - I loved it; a really nice blend of Light Music and maybe Jerry Goldsmith-style pastoral movie music. I found it thoroughly refreshing and enjoyable all the way through.
Ulrich Sommerlatte has a direct prog connection as a member and primary song-writer for '70s German band Ivory (Sad Cypress).
Another composition (rough performance, but interesting to see something resurrection in 'modern' times):

Been listening to the new album of Eighth Blackbird a lot lately.

New compositions from David Lang, Michael Gordon and Julia Wolfe; all of Bang on a Can fame. I think its an absolute winner. If you are looking for some modern chamber music, look no further.

I didn't know they had a new one!
Auto buy for me.
I kind of think of them as, classical for RIO fans. Seems to me, if one is a fan of avant-prog and RIO but haven't got into classical yet, thes guys should be a good way to test the classical waters. They push a lot of the same buttons as many RIO bands do.

Albert Roussel Symphony No 1. Pleasant with a hint of Debussy and an overall 'French' character. Good orchestrator. Janowski/Orch Radio France. Had this set for years and plsyed it once or twice if that.
What are your fav Arvo Part pieces?
