    Gevende

Couldn't find any mentions of this Turkish band here, though I could swear I posted about them before. Maybe the search function is not working this morning. Anyway, I found this pro-shot concert this band had in Corsica for a local TV (or radio) station. Smashing stuff:

I only know of two albums. Are they still together?

They've released a new EP in May, called Monochroma Game Soundtrack. Their website shows concerts booked in October, so I assume that yes, they must still be together.

Actually some of this sounds like Ibrahim Maalouf's last albums crossed with Dhafer Youssef's later stuff.

check the last two pages of "recent RIO/Avant releases" thread for samples

thanks for the tip... I'll investagate further ASAP

I own both albums, thanks to having streamed the latter, and I think it's a great band. SEN BALIK DEGILSIN KI (2011), their second, is an absolute masterpiece. Here's it is for those owning Spotify: https://play.spotify.com/album/0f4FV...tm_medium=open

For those who haven't, here's the awesome opening track:

There was a thread about them in the old site, as far as I can remember.

I just want to thank you again for recommending the music of Ibrahim Maalouf and Dhafer Youssef. I got "Wind", "Illusions", "Glow" and "Birds Requiem" and I enjoy them tremendously. Got any more like these?

I DL'd EN BALIK DEGILSIN KI on Amazon a couple of years ago and I like it.

I was definitely not impressed by EV... Maybe I expected too much after seeing the live footage in this thread.

Yes, the second one is miles above the debut. I hope they can release more stuff in the same vein. The recent EP is not earth shattering either.
