Holy Frick is the latest Maiden album awesome!
Don't Look Up is excellent.
Always watch Christmas Vacation Christmas Eve. Never gets old for me.
I received bose ear buds, hiking poles, and a music gift certificate for local brick and mortar. Grateful for all my family and friends.
I think Symbol Remains is my favourite album from 2020. Would love to see them live.
To say Waters has very little talent is amazing to me. I cannot put into words how strongly I disagree with that statement.
Well I noticed it and also believe Waters' latest is excellent.
Damn, that sucks. RIP.
I like this album. IMO 2 stars is a ridiculous rating and not indicative of the music contained within. But to each their own and all that...
What a tremendous loss. Very sad to hear this. RIP Robbie, you will be greatly missed.
Holy cow, that "Hatred Of Wisdom" tune is awesome! Can't wait to get this!
Have been a huge fan of Bob since the late '70s. Soul stirring music that invokes both spirit and mind. Looking forward to reading your article.
Very much looking forward to this.
Hi Duncan. I didn't know Chris but I too would be interested. If its too late thats okay. Regardless, an amazingly generous thing Chris has done.
Completely agree on your assessment. Always considered Squeeze to have an aura of sophistication not normally associated with standard pop fare. Like XTC in that regard.
Need to dig out 'Cosi' and...
Just gave these new tunes a listen. I like the experimental aspect, some cool guitar sounds combined with nice melodies. Dig both tracks, the vocals do not bother me at all
Isn't there a new Kansas live album out. Point of Know Return Live.
My faves are Argy Bargy, Cool For Cats and East Side Story.
I love Rush and I love 2112.
Jed, did you listen to Heaven Forbid and Curse of the Hidden Mirror? A couple of underrated gems IMO.
I love Mirrors. Have listened to it alot lately, along with Symbol. I agree, vastly underrated. In Thee, Sun Jester, and yes The Vigil are superb. No weak tracks to my ears.
Really sad to hear this. I have never met Steve having only read his insightful posts through the years. It is a reminder of how fleeting life truly is and how we need to treat each other with...
I really dig 6 PM and 801 Live. His playing can be so subtle yet substantial at the same time, if that makes any sense. With Roxy, his textural soundscapes are just so good. Avalon is a case in point.
Thanks for the heads up.
That is absolutely superb. Thanks for posting!
Ummm....because there are lots of excellent Canadian bands and some people might be interested in checking them out. I mean, I hear lots of talk about Scandi bands, British bands, US bands, Swedish...
What a great track.
They are a very good band imo, although some may find them a little 'dark', even unsettling.
Um....yes I am.
And it would be a very diverse collection as well.
Scary stuff. Glad you are going to be okay.
Pete's awesome. Think I have reviewed for SoT for almost 15 years. We did a couple of videos decides together - Moody Blues and Manfred Mann. It was fun hope to do more of them.
Happy Birthday Mr. Shatner!
Agreed
Some interesting tidbits when Todd Rundgren produced them (Slylarking album).
Just watched an interesting documentary called XTC - This is Pop. Really interesting insight from Partridge, Moulding and Gregory. Such a great band and noone made pop music quite like XTC.
Believe...
Tie between Drums and Wires and Black Sea.
Fantastic band.
Love the Wailers. He will be greatly missed.
RIP
I think they all have something special to offer. Its cool they changed up their sound for each album. You know, variety is the spice of life.
Looking forward to the new album. Should probably give...
Very sorry to hear this. RIP.
Near speechless. This one still hits hard.
Mentioned Beck in another thread (pop thread). Very talented in my opinion. Only started listening to him last year. Thought his last one was excellent as was Phoenix Morning. Need to explore Sea...
Yeah, agree, kind of quirky at times, or weird as you say. Pretty chameleon-esque as he seems to change from album to album. Pretty intelligent as far as pop music goes.
Mozo-pg, you should check...
Sad news indeed, RIP.
Ok, sorry for the derail, back to LTE. I for one can't wait!
What i don't like is the watermarked stuff. Again, I understand why it just sits wrong with me.
I have to say I have a hard time reviewing downloads, partly because I always seen to have loads of physical product to review. I do totally understand why many companies are going the digital promo...
Thanks Progatron. That's what I thought.
I've been getting into some Beck lately, Phoenix Rising, Hyperspace, etc. What do you people think of him? Pretty talented dude me thinks.
I've been practically o.d.-ing on Desire and Street Legal. Frickin wonderful albums!
Those are both excellent albums.
Curious Progatron, do you get physical promos from Insideout or downloads? I used to get the real deal but that changed about 2 years ago. Now its downloads only.
I can't bring myself to go the digital route although my wife did get a family account on Spotify. I use it in the car or when I'm reviewing music from my laptop. Most of the albums I've downloaded...
I thought it was a fine year especially when you consider the circumstances.
New albums by Fatal Fusion, War Cloud, Wolftooth, Flowerkings, Blue Oyster Cult, Deep Purple, Pure Reason Revolution,...
And that is exactly what I like about TSO. Different strokes.....
I have some JBL L100Ts (bought in the 80s) that have been in storage for years. Once my boys room is done cant wait to hook them up. They really kick ass.
That's so cool!
Unfortunately, I see many without masks and its beginning to really piss me off. So incredibly selfish. I really don't understand how hard this is. To actually care about your fellow human being.
Really dig that album.
