I'm convinced it's just luck. :)
Does this work for you? The clips from the studio are very short.

Sounds like another BIOS/battery related issue. Whatever setting was in the CMOS before is now changed.
Yes, I was lucky I could usually hear what I was playing, despite our stage volume being totally out of control (another reason I gave up playing in bands).
No, this was near the Massachusetts/Connecticut border....don't exactly remember which state it was in.
Always nice to have some documentation of such events. My bands rarely looked so photogenic though.
Reminds me of a veterans club we played a couple of times. You never knew what was going to happen, but they did treat us very well.
Did a couple of duo gigs where funny things happened. One was at a local bar/restaurant for a wedding reception. The entire wedding party ended up going outside and some people started setting off...
I never saw anything that crazy at a gig, lol. We used to play at a place that had a strip club and bowling alley attached. During the breaks a couple of the guys would go to the strip club. Our...
:rofl
It was mostly not as interesting as one might hope, lol. One guy came up to the side of the stage while we were setting up. Completely nude aside from his sandals. He stood there with one...
Destined Solitaire is among the better ones, IMO. I also like The Sane Day and SIT Part One. I was not so much a fan of the heavier stuff they started doing later on, but there are still tracks I...
I've had a lot of interesting experiences playing in bands, but most of the things I remember were the weird, surprising, accidental, or annoying aspects. Not sure what it says about me, but I...
Not to take anything away from the other guys because I do think they add a lot, but I don't think there could be a Beardfish without Rikard.
I was thinking the same thing. Fingers crossed.
Sometimes it's not that easy to reproduce a certain tone, vibe, feel, or whatever other element they may have felt was in the original tracks.
I just heard that Greg Walker may be selling some of these here in the US. I'm going to email him....
A new live album coming out on May 17th. "Live In Europe 2023".
Yes, it pays to be careful, that's for sure. I have worked with electronics for years, building my own computers from parts bought from places like Newegg and also at work when testing and...
Is there any risk of losing the CMOS settings if the computer is not on while changing the battery? I used to have a Korg keyboard and it was recommended to change the battery while the unit was...
I never really went deeply into ABB, but the albums I do have I really like. And as part of that lack of deep exploration on my part I didn't realize how many of the tunes I like the most were...
I suspect there's a lot of nostalgia, FOMO, and the fact that this is one of the last few older prog outfits (or close to it) doing anything these days....
I guess Circuit City and Best Buy around me were always too small to have any significant amount of prog rock. I probably bought a half dozen or less CDs there over the years. In more recent years...
RIP CJ Snare.
Yeah, Firehouse was one of my guilty pleasure bands for a while and I enjoyed attempting to sing along with those stratospheric vocals. Actually, come to think of it, we did Mama...
I hear you. My music room is very small. I have the Minifreak on my desk, but there's really no room for anything else without possibly trying to buy or build some sort of stand. I already have...
Interesting. I was not familiar with the original. I do like how the new one is able to tilt at different angles though.
That looks very cool!
This is why I still check this site so often.
Not a duo, but have you heard Rikard's "Cyklonmannen" project?
Cyklonmannen Part 1
He posted that he had been very busy in the music industry for decades and wanted more time at home with his family. I didn't get the impression there was any bad blood, but who knows.
Oh I see - yeah, that's annoying.

Wow, that looks very cool. I've been told I'm not to spend any money for a couple months, lol.
Thanks for the write-ups, guys. Very interesting to read.
Never heard anything in their music I'd consider prog?
I loved Spock's Beard initially. Snow was like finding an oasis in the desert and I was so happy to find someone still making prog rock (in 2002/2003). That's still probably my favorite SB album. ...
Your mileage may vary, but I think they both have some strong material and are worth having. Great modern production compared to many of their earlier albums.
This is my favorite track from Heaven Forbid. Also sung by Buck. Plus a nice guitar solo. And to me it has that classic creepy BOC vibe.

My coworker just mentioned in a meeting last week that he had to stay home and take care of his wife's dog because she had to go to Colorado to play with SGM at the Stanley Hotel. I think it was...
Concord, NH for us.
Wow, never once had any issue with the vocals on Imaginos. Always loved that album, whoever is responsible for making it. Never looked too deeply into who was singing what songs, although I did...
It's growing on me and I think you picked my favorites as well.
Bought tickets for the Concord, NH show a couple days ago. Seemed like they were going fast.
It was great to chat with you and Karen even if just for a few minutes. Hopefully we'll have an opportunity for a longer conversation someday soon.
I wasn't quite as impressed with the sound but...
Is it just me or does The Likes Of Us sound a bit more "rawk" than previous releases? It seems a bit more drums-forward and somehow more stripped down or just has more separation between the various...
To me, aside from Steve Hackett or someone like that with a historically higher profile than many, the attendance seems entirely within the norm of every other small prog band tour I've witnessed...
I doubt the band can afford TV commercials and radio ads. What other forms of promotion were you thinking?
Boston (Arlington) is tonight.
Likewise!
I'll be there with my wife, my son, and my friend Steve who I think you met before. I think we're about 10 rows back in the center section, right next to the aisle.
You're welcome! Sounds like you figured it out in the end. :)

Right, not in my original post, but in a later post that attempted to explain my confusion is where I used the word mono.
It was not my intent to "imply" anything. I was trying to say that...
I knew, rather vaguely, that he didn't get along that well with Sting, but since I never followed those guys too closely most of the info was new to me.
I was kind of surprised Rick didn't know Stewart hadn't done soundtrack stuff for a long time. Not a big deal and it's not that I knew either, but it seems like Rick is usually better prepared...
Deep Tracks is just too far off the beaten path, lol.
(I've told this story before, but...)
A coworker many years ago had Sirius radio and was always blasting some classic rock station in the...
Absolutely not needed, but I personally did appreciate the results of the dicking around.
Correct. Not that it matters, but that's why I specifically highlighted the word mono in my post.
In general I agree that shorter albums work better for me these days, but I will wait to hear how this album comes out. If the material is strong I'm fine with it.
Sorry, apparently there was some miscommunication because I don't need any help at all. This is not something I need to do and I've already watched a couple videos that explain it. I was merely...
Jonas Reingold shared this news on Facebook:
"KARMAKANIC NEWS!!!
The new album of Karmakanic is currently in progress. I have just completed the composition phase, resulting in 12 songs and...
