The Exorcist- my favorite movie of all time.

    Hitchcock fan, so:
    Vertigo
    Psycho
    The Birds
The Man Who Knew Too Much
    North by Northwest
    Marnie

    Most James Bond movies.

And going way back, the 1939 color version of "The Adventures of Robin Hood" with Errol Flynn

We're trying to build a monument to show that we were here
It won't be visible through the air
And there won't be any shade to cool the monument to prove that we were here. - Gene Parsons, 1973

I am not a huge movie watcher (odd considering at one point I was a radio/tv/film major), but I do have some I like:
Lord of the Rings (all three)
    The Matrix (the first movie)
    Star Wars (the original trilogy)
    The Princess Bride

Well, that's true, but I wanted to make it clear which Mask I was rooting for. I didn't want people to think I was vouching for a Jim Kerry picture.

Yeah, there are a bunch of movies that fall into that category for me too.

The Godfather is one of them, and I've got 1 & 2 on DVD.
    Original King Kong.
    Just about any Ray Harryhausen.
Original Star Wars or first three Indiana Jones.
    Jurassic Park films.
    Many others too...

    .
Dammit, I forgot Clash Of The Titans and the Sinbad trilogy. And speaking of movies with Patrick Wayne in them, I also forgot Beyond Atlantis.

    For today, I'll list:

2001: A Space Odyssey--the follow up sequel, 2010, was worthwhile too.
Journey To The Center of The Earth--original, Disney I think
    Toy Story (and sequels)
    The Dirty Dozen
    Unforgiven
    Outlaw Josey Wales
    Get Carter
    Meatballs
    Planes, Trains, & Automobiles
    Alien

Just FYI, we would like to keep these generic non-music topics to one running thread. For example, we have one running baseball, hockey, and World Cup thread. Since this is essentially an extension of the ongoing movies thread, I'm going to merge it there later today.

If you really want to start something like this in the future, you can create a 'group' if you want in the groups section of the board and people can join that group. Thanks for understanding.
