The great Joe Whalen announces Trustworks is 'booming out across NY/NJ/CT' as the album of the month! http://www.ncc.edu/studentlife/whpcr.../default.shtml
Joe's show is special to me because it is the first American live radio studio show Chris Squire and I did together the night we arrived in New York for the Syndestructible tour.

It's surprising how many Prog fans are cat lovers. This presentation of a Trustworks track was created by Janet Lynne Mocarsky: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHm12xZcV48

    Very cool Steve!
Vinyl is such a happening thing nowadays. Personally, I would never want to rely on vinyl for the actual music because I spent too much time in my youth fiddling about with tracking force, counter weights, weird little gauges, and speed adjusters...the pops, clicks, and inner-groove distortions just got in the way of the pure musical enjoyment. BUT, I still have most of my old vinyl records because I love the large artwork. I will hold onto my vinyl for ever because of its beauty and its associations with my halcyon days of youth. (And those gatefold examples that opened up were perfect for cleaning, um, well...YOU KNOW!)

I think the lovely TRUSTWORKS artwork deserves its time in that large format. And of course, you are likely to get a different audience involved in The Syn because of its release in vinyl.

So good on ya for getting a vinyl release! CONGRATULATIONS!!

Another good review of Trustworks, I post this because it is from Montreal-based Profil and written in French (with a translate button). There is also an interview I did which is in English. http://www.profilprog.com/#!blank-19/a7qhj

A nice review and interview. (You were very gentle and kind when the interviewer seemed to not be listening to your replies! Kindness is always good. Well done, Sir!)

Simply the best work you have ever done imho, Steve.

Yes, my Skelleftea bias is showing.

Thanks Gizmotron, I was just answering the questions as they were asked and sometimes different questions and answers blur into each other.

We share the same bias Progeezer, Trustworks is a true collaboration between Skelleftea and London. I knew what I was doing when I asked Moon Safari to make the album with me, their fellow Swede, Jonas Reingold, also played a big part in creating it.

A lot of people asked me that and I know Moon Safari have performed on the last couple of cruises and enjoyed it, so maybe.

Given Yes have a say in who plays on the Cruise, that's never going to happen.

Is that your personal opinion, Henry, or are you now a spokesman for the current Yes? The biggest issue with me doing anything to do with boats is that I suffer from terrible sea sickness!

I would have thought the biggest issue is the trail of ex-Syn members not being paid, not giving approvals for material to be released, and never wanting to work with you again. That's merely a personal opinion.

Henry, thank you for confirming this is only your personal opinion, although it’s a strange premise to base your opinion on when you are well aware of the battlefields of Yes member’s history. We’ll see how that pans out, you have a history of being wrong about The Syn without ever having the grace to admit it but, of course, I forgive you.

I have been discussing a new project I have been asked to consider. I must say I am getting loads of offers since the release of Trustworks, most I'm not interested in because I don't have the time, but this is special because it is to work with 2 of the grand masters of Indian music whose last four albums went platinum. It is certainly a great opportunity, not to say honour, to create an Indian Prog album (a new genre?) in such illustrious company, something that has come about because of the success of Trustworks and specifically the Mahatma Ghandi sequence and sitar intro to the Trustworks track that brought it to their attention.

I have two words for you: DO IT!

Indian music has always been one of my favorite genres. As a group of musicians, they are some of the best on the planet.

    DO

    IT

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the advice Gizmotron, you will be pleased to know I have agreed to do it. I am currently immersing myself in their music to create a vision in my head of how best to merge the two genres into my song writing. It's very challenging and exciting at the same time.

    VERY cool, Steve!
Keep us informed how it goes. The Santur is the instrument I'd recommend to make an appearance or two. It is the Indian hammered dulcimer and can achieve amazing tones and patterns.

I can't say too much at the moment, but I will tell you one of the instruments is the Santur.

The Indian project is getting closer, there will be an official announcement this month. I have been listening and writing relentlessly to merge the two styles of music into a new prog genre, it's very demanding and very exciting. Meanwhile Trustworks in vinyl is released on 15th July, some signed copies available at Burning Shed - https://www.burningshed.com/store/pr...duct/494/7621/
