Interestingly fun video from a couple of years ago-
"Henry Cow always wanted to push itself, so sometimes we would write music that we couldn't actually play – I found that very encouraging." - Lindsay Cooper, 1998
"I have nothing to do with Endless River. Phew! This is not rocket science people, get a grip." - Roger Waters, 2014
"I'm a collector. And I've always just seemed to collect personalities." - David Bowie, 1973

I'm not exactly sure what he means when mentions Skype, but that sounds like a cool idea - for an artist to do a brief show for you over Skype. I'd probably pay a decent amount for Fish to do an acoustic concert of about 4 or 5 numbers, especially if I got to choose some of the numbers (or all). Would be a great prize for a Kickstarter campaign.

Aymeric, do you know what Richard has in mind when he mentions using Skype?

    Contribution to Richard

I sent 50 Euros via PayPal in February 2014. I have received no updates whatsoever since, nor confirmation that my payment was received. Did anyone else contribute, and if so, did you hear anything back? I have emailed Richard, but still I've heard nothing

I sent £45 by bank transfer at a similar time. I did get confirmation that it had been received but only by badgering Heather by email. Last I had was the promise of a newsletter 'soon' - I chased 3 or 4 times over the rest of last year but all my emails were ignored. I know of 2 others who have sent 50 euros and also heard nothing. Sadly I think that Richard and Heather may not have thought this through properly and got themselves into a mess with it. I don't mind, really - Richard's music has given me so much pleasure over more than 40 years and we all know he never made a lot of money from the music business. Disappointed that I'm probably not gonna get some new stuff from him, though........

Richard sounds like another Jon Anderson. Sweet guys, on the one hand--I have met and spoken to both, but on the other hand you can't just take fans' money and not deliver what you promised. Sheesh...

I met and talked to Richard last month [for the first time in 8 years !] at a gig he was playing in the South of France. He mentioned the Skype thing although in a general way and not at my prompting, but he did mention that he was planning some recording in the spring or summer which he said was postponed from earlier plans as winter wasn't an appropriate time. He played 3 or 4 advanced sketches of songs (though none with lyrics) at the gig. I can't say for sure that this means he's close to completing a new album since he's always mentioned similar plans in the twenty years since his last album to date. Regarding the Internet, Richard is clearly not a Net person and seems to be living a 'countryside' kind of life mostly away from computers. Clearly he and Heather only have a minimal online presence. I do hope those who parted with money get the agreed counterpart, that is, if not the promised updates, at least the recordings of new material.
