I blame Wynton, what was the question?
There are only 10 types of people in the World, those who understand binary and those that don't.
I didn't take the opportunity to see the Steven Wilson tour, however I am familiar with Theo's work with The Tangent. He adds an enormous amount of sound that adds to the jazzy elements of The Tangent music.
It was great hearing him play with Soft Machine Legacy at RIO in September. Really tight band, excellent performance.

You guys might want to check out his solo material. Discs like "Double Talk", "Earth To Ether", "Heart Of Sun" are all stellar. In fact, I'd say they're some of his best work that I've heard. I much prefer him as the main man than a side man.

^ I've been meaning to, actually. I was a tad disappointed with the last Soft Machine Legacy album, though. Perhaps I need to re-evaluate it tonight.
I want to dynamite your mind with love tonight.
Double Talk features Fripp doing some soundscapes on a couple of tracks. Earth To Ether has Richard Sinclair crooning on a few tracks. Both highly recommended !
Cipher is also another interesting Travis project. I particularly like "Elemental Forces". A great, mellow, rainy day album.

For folks who are interested, since the subject has come up, some reviews I've written of Theo's releases:
View from the Edge and Earth to Ether multiple review;
Double Talk;
Slow Life;
All I Know: An Anthology.
And, speaking of Cipher: Elemental Forces
Best!
