I don't hear much of JA in Terry's singing. Terry's pants aren't as tight. Cat and Gabriel don't sound alike either. To me, Dave Cousins from The Strawbs sounds like Cat Stevens. In the liner notes to the '98 Ghosts remaster, Dave even mentions that Where Do You Go(When You Need A Hole To Crawl In) was written with a Cat Stevens feel.

I never thought Terry Luttrell sounded like Jon Anderson, but I thought Starcastle's group vocals sounded like Yes.
(In part due to the "didit-dow"'s and "winter morning, summer evening, autumn lunchtime" type lyrics.)

I remember the singer on Bloodrock's early albums sounding a lot like Ronnie James Dio.

This might be laughable to some, but on some of the Beatles' early recordings I hear similarities between John and George.

Michelle doesn't really sound like Kate when she sings in her typical voice but she can sound exactly like her when she's trying, which we tended to encourage

The first thing I thought of when I saw this thread. Nice to know I’m not alone. Vindication!

Fish always sounded more like Peter Hammil to me. Although, I could see why the casual listener would compare Fish/Marillion to Genesis.

Howard Werth like Chappo? I would say Werth sounds a bit like Roy Wood, if anyone.

I agree. I see this often, but Fish doesn't even remotely sound like Gabriel. Early Collins does though.

The German Lenny Wolf from Kingdom Come sounds like Robert Plant. Debut lp in 88 long before the Plant-Page and Coverdale-Page albums. That said KC's raison d'etre was to produce Zepp style music.

My thought exactly. The two lead singers aren't very similar other than vocal range but the group vocals sound dead on. Because Howe isn't the strongest of vocalists, I'd say that Starcastle's backing vocals are far stronger than Yes'.

He did a purposeful imitation of Plant on couple of songs, otherwise he sound quite different.

A lot of people talking about Roger Chapman of Family / Streetwalkers - I always thought Feargal Sharkey of the Undertones sounded a lot like him.

I remember when KFOG in San Francisco started playing this song back in 1983 I was wondering why I didn't know that Jon Anderson had a new album out.

(although in retrospect Cussick's singing here sounds more like Eddie Jobson!)

Very true, in fact on later albums he dropped the Plant style altogether.

In early Beatles , I used to think John, Paul and George sounded alike. In later records, they sounded more distinct.
