"Rock Band's Plane Makes Emergency Landing"

Man! I'm just amazed that Dokken and Ratt can still afford a private jet.

Why wouldn't they be able afford a private plane? Both those bands were big in their day, and apparently draw big enough crowds even today that they can travel in luxury.

I'm amazed they weren't referred to as "former rock bands."

BTW, that took place just 8 miles from me. They stopped in Moline, and I am across the river in Davenport, 12 minutes away.

according to some on this site, Banquo, you must be "jealous". That's the new reason you don't agree with something now.

Well, if there has to be a reason then I guess that's a good as any.

I would with this statement, and that Banquo must be jealous. I never bought Ratt's Infestation, but I heard it's very good. I'm looking forward to their next release, which will be the first one with Juan Crocier in over 20 years.

Jen was alluding to criticisms of herself on another current thread. Personally, I don't give a shit about Dokken, Ratt or what anyone else thinks of my opinion of them, which is basically non-existent. But you can call it "jealousy" if it makes you feel more superior.

They don't own the jet. They just chartered the flight. Big difference.

I was not implying that they actually owned the goddamned plane. I read the article, dude. Sheesh! Besides, do you really think that it's cheap to charter a private jet?

You seem very upset about this.

This would never happen with Bruce Dickinson at the controls!
You say Mega Ultra Deluxe Special Limited Edition Extended Autographed 5-LP, 3-CD, 4-DVD, 2-BlueRay, 4-Cassette, five 8-Track, MP4 Download plus Demos, Outtakes, Booklet, T-Shirt and Guitar Pick Gold-Leafed Box Set Version like it's a bad thing...

This tour just played my hometown last night. I did not go, but talked to someone who did. They said that Lita Ford was the best act of the night. Also on the bill were Ratt, Dokken, and Sebastian Bach.

Not upset at all. Just annoyed by the ridiculous assumption that I did not completely comprehend the link that I posted to begin with. But you know what? I didn't think about it at all today. I did however get pretty doggone upset about hitting nearly every red light on the way home from work. That kinda shit just makes me wanna kill something.

Couldn't the plane carrying Ratt just go ... round and round?

You're not a private pilot by chance, are you?

I was at the Wauconda show, the one Ratt and Dokken almost missed:

Personally I liked Warrant the most, I was surprised I knew as much of their set. Lita Ford was good, but she really can't sing well. Kip Winger is a really good musician, but was disappointed it was his solo, would have liked to have seen Rod Morgenteen. Dokken was fine, althought he talks too much between songs and a lot about the fire in the cockpit. Sebastian Bach was, well, either a real ass or just trying to get the crowd rowdy. It was a rather mellow crowd and he is very hyper and does put a lot of effort into his act. But he was chiding the audience and rally making fun of everyone. At one point he said to the Audience that he really does not care.

Left before Ratt as I had four 15 year olds with me and they were tired, plus I have seen them a few times so no biggie. Overall I had a good time.

Just based on that wording I thought they had their own jet too. Bet in the beginning they did.

OK, then. What if I just substitute the words "private jet" with "taxi cab"? Would it imply that they actually owned the taxi cab?

I think the tendency for many is to look at every post almost too literally.

Anyway, the transportation was chartered by their "friend" Chuck Brennan, who is basically a legal loan shark (short term/payday loans), imo, so come to your own conclusions as to whom can afford what.
