Imagine trying to explain this to Leonardo DaVinci. "We have this thing called the internet. All the world's amassed knowledge is available at your fingertips, like the Library at Alexandria. To fully know and understand that human knowledge and experience has reached its undeniable zenith, a pinnacle you could never have dreamed of, witness this video of a cat in a shark suit riding a Roomba chasing a duck, and be dismayed!!"
DaVinci was almost certainly familiar with foolish entertainment. I would argue that it is an eternal part of the human condition, and it certainly had its role in his time - look at the comic-relief scenes from Shakespeare, for example, or The Miller's Tale, or parts of Don Quixote. The new medium of the Internet might have surprised him, but it wouldn't have surprised him at all that such a new medium also had its share of foolish entertainment.
Now THAT'S a meme!
Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world.
I feel like the title of this thread was really misleading. The cat isn't really "chasing" the duck.
It looks more like the duck is chasing the cat. That was pretty cute and funny though.
It's funny that it wasn't enough for them to have the cat riding the Roomba and chasing the duck - they needed to put the cat in a shark suit! Have to admit, it IS the finishing touch.
Also, WHY is there a cat-sized shark suit?
If we're going to be posting cute cat videos I might as well inflict mine on ya:

We're done here.
Seriously, it reminded me of that scene in Breaking Bad, where Jessie is having a multi-day party at his house, and the Roomba comes along when everyone is crashed on the floor.....that scene makes me laugh endlessly for some reason.
The first two are hilarious, Poodle, not so much. Our society has really evolved, I tell ya.
Love that show big time !!!
I think the cat would have a better change of getting the duck, bij stepping of the Roomba.
Josef, that was brilliant. I laughed. Too funny.
Lou
Looking forward to my day in court.
That's the silliest thing I've seen all year. But I still LOVE this one...
