I adore this and the previous DBA album. It has a very English type of sound and I love that they moved away from the very Buggles / synthpop style of sound of their earlier albums. Not sure I hear something akin to AOR except that the songs are very melodic but that they have always been, it is just the setting is now different with a full band and a guitarist on board (Dave Bainbridge) that plays to the strength of the material.
Love this, great melodic music. It sounds very much like The Producers album in parts but that's no bad thing. A quality release!
I've loved every DBA album and my spouse adores them. She read they might be doing some UK dates next year. If they do, I have a feeling this will end up being our vacation plans for next year.
Listened this twice. I don't think there is going to be third time. Pretty boring.
