It's a pretty great lineup for sure
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

    Got my VIP and hotel.
The lineup is going to be crushing this year, I feel many time conflicts in my future.

A quick glance at the lineup.......maybe the most impressive BE roster of talent since i've been checking out the festivals.

Won't be going but it'll be a monster weekend of music for those who do attend.*

*(of course,i might go if Battema sends me money for VIP ticket, center city hotel room, air fare, food, female companionship,bail....)

I'll have to cut down on all the hookers n' blow I buy with my album royalties, but I'll definitely look into it and let you know

I don't see any obvious touch points for any Ryuichi Sakamoto tribute (Bitchin Bajas?). I suspect such details will come out later (unless it has been dropped altogether). We should also see some spin out collaborations from some of those already mentioned. Karla Kihlstedt, Anna Webber, Elliot Sharp, Trevor Dunn, Caroline Shaw, Tomeka Reid, Wayne Horvitz, Eyvind Kang, Anthony Pirog, etc. Even though it would be 3 months early for the upcoming Janel and Anthony release, how about that sterling duo?

All speculation (and a little fun doing so).

The lineup is ridiculous. Looking at the calendar, it just might be possible to make it this year. Those who have attended in the past: do you do the general 4-day pass, or one of the upgrades?

As I see the schedule the :
    KAGAMI
BY RYUICHI SAKAMOTO & TIN DRUM
    A MIXED REALITY CONCERT
    https://bigearsfestival.org/event/kagami/
Is the tribute for Sakamoto, unless others decide to add in.
I'm assuming that the vip passes include the 'ticket' for Kegami since there does not appear to be any other links to it on the Passes page.

Using the BE hotels portal, we were able to significantly improve on price for the Hilton (which we had placed reservation months ago). Anyone with a prior reservation at any of the festival hotels may be able to improve rates before alll such rooms are taken.

I am surprised that the Hilton had a lower rate than almost any of the listed ones.
Except for the $24 per day parking fee. Yikes.

Thanks Mark. So perhaps this will be the extent of a Sakamoto tribute. The description suggests this concept was already planned prior to his death, possibly without antipation of same. And therefore a tribute only after the fact and by circustance.

Thank you for making the requests on our behalf all this time! And for what it's worth the last proper SC3 show anywhere on the planet was just about 5 years ago...

Was that on the Mr Bungle tour for the release of The Raging Wrath Of The Easter Bunny? I think I saw that tour in Boston.
