If you haven't heard Hall's "Sacred Songs", rectify that immediately! It's great and a worthy inclusion in the trilogy.

I usually just rely on reading your reports of the results of your smoothness tests in these situations.

Yeah, but you're just a beginner. Don't sprain anything!

Gary, I think I have to pass the torch to you! The Al Stewart set AND the Fripp set? I've been making tough decisions lately.

I haven’t listened to Exposure in a coon’s age; listening now. In fact, the last time I listened to it I didn’t know who Peter Hammill was! Hammill sure goes for it on his vocal for “Chicago.” He sings like a man possessed! Of course so does everyone else on the album.

Just reporting in: my copy of the box arrived yesterday (mucho gratitude to Steve F. and Wayside). Only just starting to listen (still on a Vangelis / Klaus Schulze run), but it's another lovely set. Looking forward to a deeper dive in the near future.
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

Good to hear! I ordered from DGM and have yet to receive a shipping notice, but I'm sure it'll be soon. I'm in no hurry.

    Or so I tell myself.

    Nope. Same here.

Still, it’s better than ordering from soulless mega-corps like Wayside. I’m happy to be one of the lone few willing to stand up to their global monopoly.

Maybe if Wayside did contests like DGM used to do regularly? And included freebies like DGM does: Wayside coasters, 5uu's pillows, etc...

I'm sure Steve F. would have something to say about this but he has a lot of big meetings at Davos this week.

You do know The Muffins box set has been pegged to solve the crypto crash, the housing crunch, the death of the middle class and balding music aficionados world wide.

    Yo, dude.

    I actually laughed out loud.

    So, thanks, I think

That's exactly what a heartless megacorp would say.

(You're welcome, and thanks for giving me a place to spend money on music that makes me happy. Now if there were some way you could stop me from buying the same album twice--which I've now down twice through Wayside--I'd really appreciate it. I mean, sure, I could not shop while drunk, but also why would I do that???) (Also, I really hope I'm not the only one to have done that.) (Also also, if I am the only one to have done that, don't tell me.)

And it wouldn't be a DGM ginormous box without some problem.
After someone in the Soundscapes and Frippertronics FB group complained that the last track on CD 29 would not play, I stuck my disc #29 into the ol' Bose Acoustic Wave and it would not recognize that there was even a disc in the tray. Then I put the disc in my 1984 ADC CD-100X, and it worked just fine, and reported that the total time was 79 minutes and 17 seconds or something like that. I seem to recall that 74 minutes was the spec'ed maximum length of a CD way back when, but later players were designed to be able to handle as much as 80. Hmm. My Bose is about 20 years old and my CD player is pushing 40.

(I kid, I kid. Seriously, don't cancel me!)

It would be fun if we all ordered this set!
