So for the purposes of this discussion, what exactly is "The Big Six". Obviously, you're talking about Yes, ELP, Genesis, Crimson...but who are the other two?

For what it's worth, the first album in Progarchives' 'top studios' list is VdGG's Godbluff, at #10. I note #16 is 'From Silence to Somewhere' from a band called 'Wobbler'. Wonder who'll pick that?

Didn't think about that, but now that you say it, it's obvious. And then you've got, as others have suggested, Gentle Giant, though somehow, I never considered them one of the "Big" bands.
Well, they certainly had some measure of success, you don't get to make how many albums if you don't, but you're right, they were 2nd tier.

Yes! Nice to see this underrated (and even panned) album get well-deserved kudos. Kerry's crashing piano chords on the title track alone make it worth the price of admission, but maybe I'm eccentric...

Okay then, I'll give another vote for PFM - Per Un Amico. Absolutely gorgeous album. On another day it would probably be the first Celeste album.
