    Carter Beauford with Dave Matthews Band - but it turns out to be those wooden-dowel-type sticks instead (Hot Rods?)

    The original drummer from Violent Femmes did. Possibly later drummers did as well.

    I can think of two hit singles by rock bands that used brushes:

    Fleetwood Mac- "Sara"
    Journey- "Walks Like A Lady"
