True!
Did you hear about him getting together with Greg Rollie and playing a lot of old Journey?
True!
Sure, why not? Neal has always wanted to scratch his creative and commercial itches and between his activities with Journey, Santana IV and Gregg Rolie he's doing exactly that.
Wonder if this will lead to anything with Rolie.
Journey is touring this summer with Def Leppard, but I wouldn't be surprised if Schon isn't trying to re-connect with Rolie in an effort to re-establish the band without Cain.
Music isn't about chops, or even about talent - it's about sound and the way that sound communicates to people. Mike Keneally
I would glad hand over some money to see Schon and Rolie play music from the first three Journey albums in my town. I have no interest in the "pop" Journey.

I dunno. I wasn't bowled over by Santana IV. Musically it was a rehash and lyrically it was nearly cringe worthy in places. It reminded me why you rarely ever hear the term, "old and hungry" with regards to creativity.
That's an amazing setlist. Wow.

I wouldn't be surprised if the lawyers and promoters talked Schon down from the ledge. As much as most of here would much rather hear Schon and Rolie put the "good Journey" back together, the vast majority of the audience out there wants "Separate Ways," "Lights" and "Open Arms". Cain might well have some kind of ownership or veto rights, as well.
Would love to see this as a long-term thing, even if it didn't end up being 'Journey'. Hopefully it won't degenerate into a YES-ARW kind of situation...
Btw, pretty amazing to hear them playing 'Daydream' - did Journey ever play that live back in the day?
