Cool. Not making Progday so I'll have a chance to see Kerzner in PA. Never heard of the Kennett Flash though, but only 1.25hr away.

I'm going to make a guess that they can't afford to. They probably all have day jobs or other running commitments that keep them from touring for more than a few days. Or, some or all of them are professional musicians with multiple gigs in casino bands, churches, session work, backing bands, and the like, and they aren't willing to lose money.

Those are few clips of my band. Looking forward to this! We had a great time touring with District 97 in Europe. Great that we're doing it again in the US a bit. If it goes really well in terms of turn out (ticket sales etc.) because touring a progressive rock show like this to me is an experiment then I can imagine us spreading out and doing more dates in the US. The musicians in my band DO have other gigs that pay more than a progrock gig so they do it because they love the music. With time that can change and it's what all of us are looking forward to.... that moment when you can sell out Royal Albert Hall! haha. In the meantime... catch one of these rare gigs if you can! Great night of progressive rock for a very reasonable price.

Pretty common scenario these days. I'm just glad they're able to do this at all. Lucky for me I live in Chicago, so at least D97 is fairly easy to catch.

We (Grackle) are very much looking forward to playing with our D97 friends in Louisville. Come and visit! Make it a weekend trip. Bourbon!

Yes, it is a challenge for us to tour with all of the members professional/personal commitments, and the west coast/other viable areas are a heck of a lot farther from Chicago than the Northeast is. That being said we've made a lot of great connections recently so it's definitely possible we'll expand our territory. The main thing holding us back is there have not been many solid "anchor gig" opportunities in more far-flung parts of the country (aside from Cruise to the Edge earlier this year, and then touring with Pain of Salvation, which took us to many new areas). But as Dave said, if this run goes well, perhaps we'll be doing more US dates. In the meantime, please try to come see these as it will be quite a show!

I'll be at Progtoberfest. If D97 can't come to you, then you go to D97.

As much as I'd like to support NJP, I believe I'll be at the DROM NYC show. Looking forward to it!

I just wanted to share this review from Prog Magazine of our new live DVD at http://teamrock.com/review/2017-07-2...rij-dvd-review. Among other things, it says "this captures the gig-hardened band on great form at the much-loved Dutch venue. Guitarist Jim Tashjian’s tones are bulked up, newbies Andrew Lawrence (keyboards) and Tim Seisser (bass) have bedded in well and founder Jonathan Schang’s Bruford-approved drumming is a sight to behold. As for Hunt, she remains one of modern prog’s consummate performers. With a glint in her eye, she engages with the crowd and truly performs the songs, grooving to odd rhythms with moves that’d spell painful doom for less supple joints."

Today is a great to to get yours by joining http://www.district97.net/insidethevaultclub as a Keyholder (Premium Member). Not only will you get one of the remaining copies, but you'll also get exclusive D97 music on the 15th of every month, and that's tomorrow!

How do you feel about being Bruford-approved? I'm imagining a Certificate of Achievement signed by him, of course.

And how does Leslie feel about having supple joints? Less supple = everyone. But, she's definitely an awesome performer.

Haha, I'm thrilled to be "Bruford-approved!" There's no certificate, but he did sign a couple CDs for me. We also exchange emails on an occasional basis, and it's always a thrill to get his insights into my, his, and other's music, as well as his various pithy observations.

As for Leslie, I'm not sure that I can speak for how she feels about the suppleness of her joints relative to everyone else. Come to a show and you can ask her!

Leslie's great in person too. But no way I would bring that up. On the cruise, I overheard your tour manager complaining about how guys were always hounding her. I think she needs *less* creepiness in her life.

I did get the VIP package for Progtoberfest so I can say hi to the whole gang. I enjoyed the cruise atmosphere where I felt comfortable saying hi and VIP is probably as close at it gets outside of that.

Really looking forward to this! We're doing a GoFundMe to try to get Durga McBroom to join us on this tour. She moved from the US to Italy and if we can raise the funds we'll fly her to Miami and then Chicago to perform tracks she sings on my albums "New World" and "Static" as well as classics she's sung with Pink Floyd for many years. It's here if anyone's interested in participating in that effort: https://www.gofundme.com/us-dkb-tour-with-durga-mcbroom

Thanks Dave. Coincidentally, I was wondering yesterday if she would be able to come. Will she be joining you on the cruise as well?

I just got my Deluxe Edition and have been listening to it for the first time.

Dave, how does GoFundMe work? Is it all-or-nothing? Or will she get the funding either way?

The news broke last night that D97 will also be appearing at RoSfest 2018! You can read about both that and the Static Vaults Tour at http://www.earsplitcompound.com/site...t-in-may-2018/.

We'll get the funding either way it's just a question of whether we'll get enough funding from the GoFundMe campaign to cover the costs of adding her to the tour. I had already booked it without her assuming that it just wasn't realistic. But, we had this idea you see... haha. But, it's still going. I'm spicing it up with some perks. One perk is that everyone who donates anything to the campaign, even $1 (although no one has donated less than $10 so far) can watch a private streaming of us rehearsing and those who donate $50 or more who happen to live near Miami or want to come visit can watch a rehearsal in person (probably on the 17th, 18th or 19th). If they can't make it to that, a $50 or more donation will get a special Meet & Greet invite either to watch a sound check or have a private hang with the band backstage or somewhere other than just the merch desk where you can usually find at least some of us at different times signing autographs and taking photos. We will also have two exclusive photos signed, one of just Durga and one of her with the band. Those will only be given to people who participate in the GoFundMe campaign with a special thank you. I'll keep mentioning it on my Facebook page and other places. Maybe it'll do the trick! If it gets at least to $2k I might be able to sell some more t-shirts which just became available https://sonicelements.bandcamp.com/m...7-2018-t-shirt and somehow cover the rest. We have to find a way! Anyone's help in contributing or spreading the word is appreciated. It'll be fun because it's also her birthday and we'll be doing Great Gig In The Sky with her which is always a special moment in the show. It's like watching Pink Floyd Pulse seeing her do it... but instead of a stadium of people it's just a few hundred in a club. Intimate atmos and after you can ask her to tell you Floyd stories! She has some great ones too.

Just want to give a bump to let everyone know that D97 is doing a Hurricane Harvey Fundraiser right now. From now through Thursday, 9/7 at 11:59 PM CST, we will be donating 50% of all new signup fees from the INSIDE THE VAULT CLUB at http://www.district97.net/insidethevaultclub to the HURRICANE HARVEY RELIEF FUND at https://ghcf.org/hurricane-relief/. Our goal is to raise at least $500, which we can do with 12 new Keyholders/Premium Members (on the yearly plan). However, you can sign up at any level and half of your funds will be donated. We will also be donating 25% of all sales through our Online Store at http://www.district97.net/store.

D97 played Houston for the first time on February 14th, 2017, and I must admit that I didn't really know what to expect in terms of crowd response (I'd never been to TX at all before that day). To my delight, Houston (and Dallas the following night) ended up being a major highlight of our Tour To The Edge. We were greeted with extremely kind and enthusiastic people who really seemed to appreciate what we do. I left Texas feeling that we HAVE to go back there. So, I had a pretty visceral response to news of the devastation there, and that's why D97 has decided to do this.

If you've been thinking of joining but haven't gotten around to it yet, now's the perfect time. Every IVC member receives exclusive D97 music on the 15th of each month, and Keyholders will also get the Live At De Boerderij DVD/HD Download as well as 15% off anything at our Online Store. You can read a new review of the DVD from Prog Magazine at http://teamrock.com/review/2017-07-2...rij-dvd-review. We hope you can take part!
