As a tribute to Rickles, Netflix is offering free the 2007 documentary about his life called "Mr. Warmth: The Don Rickles Project." It's an excellent summation of his career, how he got started, who is is offstage. Interviews of dozens of comedians and actors he worked with or influenced, his wife, his managers, the crew on his stage show, very thorough. Clips from contemporary (2007) shows he was still doing -- moving a little slower (at age 80) but still quick witted and improvisory, picking up clues from his audience and working them.
Excellent, and I'm not even much of a Rickles fan.
