With regrets, we're coming back around

Apologies in advance for the possible taking of your dollars. Not giving them back though, sorry.

    Sincerely,

Some people will do anything to make a buck, um, 17 cents.

    Out now or when, Johnny?

Damn, so many questions! Next you're gonna ask for previews or some crazy horseshiat like that...

Not out yet. We're finishing the mix right now, it'll be off for mastering before the end of the month, hopefully on disc by late April/early May. Previews probably within the next couple of weeks. Charlie's upcoming Playgirl / National Geographic photo shoot / tie-in isn't due out until June though, sorry.

On the off chance that we haven't birthed a complete turd of an album, we're starting to do a little vague, unhelpful, annoying-yet-intriguing promotion. Also, apparently I don't have enough of a social life to have better things to do on a Saturday night. But mostly, you know...promotion.

How does it compare with your previous rekkids?

(Stylistically, I mean. I'll be the judge of quality )

I'm hoping ES will throw the ceremonial first pitch at Nationals Park this opening day.Hopefully, Battema will reach the plate.

Ho boy...let's see: probably a little heavier, darker than Harvest. Four songs plus a coda, about 10 minutes a pop. So, a shorter record than Harvest too.

I suppose this would be Harvest's younger, angrier, more rebellious sibling.

I use a mellotron sound on one track, so you know, there's that. Prog lives, yadda yadda yadda...

Oh...I *will* say this: Tim was our drummer on Broken Door but that recording never did him justice. This record should give people a chance to hear just how strong he really is.

Snark aside, we're happy with how it has come together. And hoping at least a few folks don't hate it outright.

I was walking to and from the grocery store yesterday, it's about 2 miles round trip, maybe 600' elevation gain and loss. I found four pennies on my walk and pocketed them. I realized the four cents I found in the dirt was more money than I'd ever earned via Spotify. The thought made me happy for some reason, it illustrated the bizarre market conditions bands like Ephemeral Sun and my own are working within.

Will check out camples later today, going to LA to rehearse and as I sit here in my cabin, shrouded in fog with a chance of snow early this evening, I'm wondering if I'm gonna make it back before the white stuff comes down. Add to this a 170 mile round trip on LA freeways plus the potential stress of the band hammering out new material and a lot of people would probably say this isn't worth it. It's work. It's a hassle. It's cash money and time spent. It's Sunday for God's sake.

But wait until the band hears this riff I came up with.

Congrats, John, to you and your band for continuing to dig in and make the music happen.

Well it sounds like I'll have to give it a spin ... maybe ... if I have nothing else to do, maybe at 3am when I can't sleep... perhaps.

Kidding, John, I'm looking forward to hearing it!
    Regards,

Well, I hope this one is cheaper, then.

Don't worry! Just for you, I'll make sure you pay only 32.5% of what you paid for Harvest

Scott - John is my good friend. If he says 32.5% he means 32.5%.

Great to hear that you are wrapping up the new cd John. That way you can concentrate on headlining Coachella.

Can't have that! I'll make sure we release a special edition of the album that stretches all the songs to AT LEAST 40 minutes in length, each
