Modern Fusion of the more Rock variety

inspired by the counterpart thread, I thought as one who likes the heavy Rock side of things more than Saxophones, I'd post a thread for things more along the lines of Mahavishnu Orchestra, the 4 Return To Forever quartet albums, Brand X, Isotope, etc.

one of my modern favorites is KBB

Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

I've heard a little bit of Plini. They seem like a band worth exploring further.

Don't forget Aristocrats! I think they perfectly fit the description.

PS great news about a new HoG!

it would be nice to hear something new from them. they were still doing shows as a trio last year. a new Sieges Even album with Wolf would be sweet but not likely. on that note, Counter-World Experience did release Pulsar last year

    Greetings,

    A couple of other submissions:

    Owane

    Kenner

Kenner doesn't have any albums out as of yet, but I believe they're recording one now. In the interim, here's a very cool cover they did a while back too:

    Cheers,

    Alan

P.S. The Aristocrats and 7for4 are good suggestions on the heavier side as well.

    Hi again,

One more submission (again without a commercial album release in this context):

    The Eden Rabin International Project

    Cheers,

    Alan
