Saw a post about this on Facebook. Anyone know more? Supposedly there are also two Squire tracks that Yes will use on the next album.

The re-release info apparently comes from the Yes Music Podcast interview with John Kirkman, around 19:30. http://yesmusicpodcast.com/
Oh, and around 28:30 there's stuff about two leftover tracks that have Squire on them.
Drama II
Well I'm not buying it again. Got to admire the nerve!
My impression always was that Benoit David (thanks for the correction, Kcrimso!) had to record the vocals to guide vocals provided by Horn (mostly on the old demos). Even the "army of angels"-part in After the Storm (which was not an old tune by Horn) sounds to me like Horn invented the melody of the vocals. For me I would like to hear a version with Horn on vocals, but I also think it would be very close to what we have already got originally.

I have more details at http://www.bondegezou.co.uk/wnyesm.htm#hornsleeve ... although we lack details on what this project is. It possibly overlaps with Buggles work: see http://www.bondegezou.co.uk/wnalum.htm#buggles

I would re buy FFH with Horn vocals. I am pleased they may be working with him in the future as well!
If they redo it with Horn, who would know the difference?
Bah. Wake me up when they re-record it with Anderson.

They should rerecord it with Jon Davison.
Intrigued by the prospect of Trevor being back in the fold with Yes.

They should have released it with Horn's vocals in the first place. Benoit David was much better in Mystery. Just like Jon Davison was much better in Glass Hammer. Just sayin'.
The Prog Corner
Interesting. I'd probably buy it. I always thought that David sounded more like Horn, anyway. And Davison sounds more like Anderson.
Music isn't about chops, or even about talent - it's about sound and the way that sound communicates to people. Mike Keneally
I'm all for this
it's not like it's a tentpole release or under the guise of a current work release. probably for completists and fans, much like other remix things and live curios
for the Yes completist, it's a cool addition to the whole Trevor Horn mode of this band. of course, not all fans actually appreciate this era but some of us do.
and if it trampolines YES2017 into working with Horn for a new composition LP in the future that is mos def a good thing
as Robert Pollard says "if you don't like it, don't buy it!!"

I wish they'd rerecord H&E with energy and passion.

If Horn is driving this it sounds a bit like a "Adventures in Modern Recording - Pt II" type of thing. I can't imagine he'd re-do the entire album. But if it's the entire FFH suite plus a half album of new Trevor Horn music that might be worth looking at.
I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.
Of all the "archival" releases the Yes camp could put forth, this is what they're spending their time on? Steve Howe has drool-worthy tapes mouldering in his closet year after year, and it's a partial remake of Fly From Here that gets studio time? It's true that we "don't have to buy it," but geez.
Is this a stab at legitimizing that album a bit more? It was basically Drama II anyway, might as well go that extra mile.
