I ordered the two CD's for sale I do not have yet; The Odd even CD-single and the greatest Hits CD, along with a little man, a house T-shirt :-)

    Happy for now.

Note this little bit of nastiness from the new site from those uncaring hellions at Alphabet Business Concern:

    --

    History update August 2013

And so for five years, history ceased to be created by Cardiacs. Unless we consider the undignified shenanigans of Tim Smith who ‘fell’ into a pool filled with shit and is still crawling and scratching his way out of it. The ALPHABET BUSINESS CONCERN wishes it to be known that, whilst maintaining complete control of his artistic output, they disassociate themselves ENTIRELY with his recent illness and, in fact, fail to recognise it as an excuse for not fulfilling his duties.

    --

This makes me hopeful that maybe things are beginning to be a little bit better enough with Tim's health that they can start making with the evilness again.

    I hope so...

There is also this from the news section

    15 Aug 2013

There now follows a special announcement from THE ALPHABET BUSINESS CONCERN

Tim continues to have health problems but recently a London-based consultant who specializes in working with musicians has begun working with him in an effort to restore greater freedom and movement.

That's very promising news - I dearly hope that things improve for Tim.

Here's Napalm Death covering Cardiacs (on a split with The Melvins that sold out immediately):

    2. Did anyone see this IMPORTANT announcement from the ALPHABET BUSINESS CONCERN:

    17 Aug 2013

There now follows an announcement from THE ALPHABET BUSINESS CONCERN

The ABC wishes it to be known that Mary has been relegated to a seedy garage to perform her duties as ordinary shop girl. This is in response to her recent, flagrant allegiance to Mr. Tim Smith. Pictures to follow.

There are some pics in/around posts 222/223 in this thread...not sure if those are the ones that were being referred to or not though.

Edit: sorry, those are from several weeks ago. Apologies.

There was a big Cardiacs event last weekend, Tim was in attendance, that is where the new photos come from. From the account I read, in addition to the live bands, they played a bunch of footage from the unreleased rehearsal DVD.

The Mare's Nest DVD was on sale and is soon to be added to the online shop.

Can someone (Kavus?) fix the website address, or at least bump it up in google?
Searching for ABC or Cardiacs points to www.cardiacs.com which does not hint on the existence of cardiacs.net
It has everything in it, shop and all, only all the CDs are OOP...

Cardiacs.com will become operational shorty and will include the CDs.

Edit: I clicked on your link and it took me to Cardiacs.net. I guess they made the adjustment.

So I've had A little Man, and, On Land and in the Sea, for a couple of weeks now and I may like both better than Sing To God. I am now officially a fanboy.

If you ultimately find that you do prefer those two to STG then I will warmly welcome you to the club of old school Cardiacs fans, who find STG a bit too much for the aural organs.

Having heard those two classics you're next purchase is the third old line-up studio album "The Seaside"

The new reissues are very tempting, but still a bit pricey. Any chance they will be sold on any American websites? I would love to own at least one to see what the hype is all about. I'm sure I'd love it...
