    I mean, the original LP was only forty minutes long. That would leave room for alternative takes, live versions, remixes, etc.

    I saw (not heard) Marcel Marceau perform in Philly in 1973. He was magical. I remember when this LP came out. It was thought of as a joke. Fusion (Boston-based music broadsheet similar to Rolling Stone at the time) had a review of it. The entire column was blank.
