    Big Brother Season 18

    http://www.cbs.com/shows/big_brother/cast/?season=18

    It's time for Big Brother!

The house guests were announced today. Once again, looks like an incomplete cast list. There must be some veterans returning in some capacity. Usually there are 14-16 who participate, so let's see how this ends up.

Glenn is 50 and Tiffany is 32. The others range between 23-27 years old. Very odd that the majority of the cast are within 5 years of age from one another.

I just saw a commercial that said Tiffany is Vanessa's (the poker player) sister and Paulie is Cody Calafiore's (season 16) brother. Also that there are four mystery guests.

LOL! I was out last night (interesting evening seeing Steve Martin (yes, that Steve Martin) discuss an art exhibit that he has curated. There is nothing this man can't do!) and haven't watched the show yet. In fact, I don't recall setting up my PVR. I'm hoping that the last time I recorded BB will still be valid for this series and the PVR automatically recognized it. Otherwise I'll have to find it on-line. I'll comment once I've had a chance to watch it.

During the episode I kept thinking, "Are they making this up as they go?"

Not a fan AT ALL of ANY of the 4 previous house guests.

I like James and Nicole. I don't like Da'vonne. I don't remember Frank. I think that James and Nicole could be a good power duo. They are both smart, play a good social game, and won't be seen as a huge threat, I think. If they play carefully, they could stick around for a while.

I don't understand why nobody told Nicole how Paul has been pushing for her to leave as well. Her smart move for nominations would have been the guy she nominated (forget his name) and Paul. Either one could easily go home, and she has nothing to lose by nominating them as they are both already gunning for her. Except, she may not realize that yet.

Gruno, I see what you mean about missing BBCan. It has a certain charm. I'm happy to see that the US version has finally gotten rid of the pulling a key and saying "Gruno, you are safe" and then passing the keys to the next person. That was a huge snooze fest. Although...maybe they didn't do that last season...I don't remember.

Interesting twist for someone to get back in the house. I like the concept of a one-on-one battle each week. It gives an advantage to the folks who stay in the house longer as they don't have to win as many battles. Having said that, I really hope Jozea doesn't win. I don't like that boy. He might be honest, open, and bold. But he's also an ass.

Just dropped in to remind you all that this stuff is more or less scripted, and basically "fake" for lack of a better word.

Except for that show about the crabbers - the captain really did get it on with a crab.

The first couple weeks are very scripted but the beauty of Big Brother is that you cannot script 16 people, 24 hours a day. There will always be moments of "reality" lacking from all other "unscripted" products out there. Especially if you subscribe to the live feeds. I find it very instructional to the heart of mankind and the times we live in. The ignorance, the racism, the sense of entitlement, the delusions of grandeur - everything I love about millennials is there in full view.

I swore off of this show. Alison Grodner is a lazy and horrible storyteller that must have some serious blackmail on all of the CBS heads to be able to keep putting out the same show every year.
But my wife is still into it. Which means I have to be. At least to the extent that I have to sit here with the live feeds every night. Like paying 6 bucks a month to get poked in the eye by a particularly stupid monkey who knows I can't stop him.

Jozea is from Bridgeton. My understanding he is something of a whiny bitch...I don't watch it, but I am here to say that not all of us in Bridgeton are whiny bitches.

What was NOT shown on Sunday's episode was Frank getting called into the DR and reprimanded by producers for misconduct towards the women in the house. He was told to apologize.

By the way, Frinspar… I'm now somewhat in your area. Goodyear, to be exact. Scottsdale in a few months. Damn, it's sorta hot here.

Ugh, yeah. The whole area where you are is probably the hottest in the state. Stay hydrated and pack in those electrolytes.

Frank was an offensive and inappropriate ass his first season, and has gotten worse. He's been making lewd comments and slapping Da'Vonne on the ass. I don't know if he's physically contacted anyone else. I remember his first time around he found a way to put his hands on the women by screaming "tickle monster!" and grabbing whoever was nearby. His excuse this time is that he sees them all like sisters. Who the hell slaps their own sister on the ass?

But, Alison Grodner loves him for some reason, and that's the worst she'll do. He should have been ejected.

Da'Vonne gets my respect. Had he talked to and treated me like he's treated her, he'd need a medic to remove his balls from his internal organs. I'm happy to hear that the producers reprimanded him. His behavior is not acceptable anywhere. Period. Da'Vonne's comment about his behavior towards her and thinking about what it might teach her daughter almost broke my heart. I only wish that Da'Vonne could have put the game aside long enough to stand up for herself. But I understand why she didn't. She'll get her revenge when Frank leaves the house before her.

Aside from that...another ho hum show. For a group of people who wanted nothing more than to get the "Returners" out, they are doing a piss-poor job of it. Bridget is a moron.

Just a reminder that there's a special Friday night episode for the Battle Back comp.

Agreed. I might have actually cheered when Vic knocked over that last one...

Shame they are axing the roadkill comp. I thought that was one of the better twists they've introduced.
Please don't ask questions, just use google.

Roadkill was their most easily manipulated comp. No one has won it that wasn't supposed to.
