My mother is currently in another part of the country and doesn't get back until Wednesday. He was only 58 years old. Just wanted to share this as I need all the support I can get.

Sorry for your loss.

My deepest sympathies for your loss. Losing a parent, with or without warning, just sucks.
58, hell, that's my age. Way too soon to check out.

Terrible thing to have to deal with. My heart goes out to you. Be strong. Hoping you can get through this as best you can.
Sorry to hear this zravkapt. I lost my father 10 years ago to a car incident. It's never easy. My thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
So sorry to hear the news. We are here if you need to talk.

Really sounds like your profile picture.
Hope you find ways to cope with it. I suppose it will be a hard homecoming for your mother.
Sorry for your loss.

My condolences. Way too young.
<sig out of order>
That's awful - hope you and the fam will be OK . . . take care.
You have my condolences too. I hope you and yours experience some good amidst the grief and misery.
Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world.
That's an awful shock, sorry to hear it.

So sorry to hear of your loss. 58 is WAY TOO YOUNG to leave.
I know what you're going through, I lost my Dad in DEC.
Very sorry for your loss.
My sincerest empathy on your loss. In the last 12 years I've lost 2 women that I loved and right now my former spouse, close friend & mother of my children is declining from dementia & Parkinson's.
My dad died at 48 (heart) and my mom at 56 (cancer), and I marvel every day that I'm still here at 71.
All my positive thoughts are with you as you deal with your mom & the rest of your family.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your father. Sending positive thoughts to you and your family.
I am sorry to hear of your loss. My mother is 88 and lives with us now. I always look in at night just to make sure she is still breathing. Last night her cheek was flapping so that she sounded like a race horse.

Thank you all for your support, greatly appreciated. Having an autopsy today to see why he died. He was only 20 when I was born in 1977; I figured there would be a few on this forum around his age. His taste in music was horrible but he once told me he had a Deep purple 8-track at one time, so I'll give him that.

I'll be 61 in July. My father died in 88, he was almost 63. I think the passing of my son in 87 effected him more than I realized. I always thought when he retired and got his heart straightened out we would have time to do things, I guess that wasn't meant to be. I was only 33 when he passed but my world changed having to be responsible for my mother as well as my family, since she never drove. Things always seem to work out somehow.

I'm a bit younger than your dad and my dad is 87. We live close to eachother and see eachother several times every day. If something is wrong, I worry about him and was several times with him when he experienced a stroke, so I could call an ambulance. Till now everything turned out alright and he still is in relatively good health, so I count myself lucky.
Just saw this thread. Very sorry to hear this. When my Dad died at 78, about 8 years ago, I knew something was wrong as he hadn't returned a call for longer than usual. My brother had to go check it out and found him dead, which I know was really hard for him. So I know this is hard for you. It'll get easier is all I can say. Glad you told us.
Very sorry for your loss. Fifty-eight is just way, way too young.
