aaaagghhh...what does this remind me of?

Feel free to provide your own pairs or trios that remind you of each other.

Well, I was just listening to Sunstruck by Memory Drawings and it has a regular sea buoy/fog signal sound in the background and it took me a few minutes before I could identify what that regular ominous beat was reminding me of
    1. The Rocks and the Water, the opening track on Mark Knopfler's Local Hero

    and

    2. Dead London (from when it changes at 1.20 when RB starts talking) from Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds

When I ever listen to Hackett's Petropolis (Bay Of Kings) it pleasantly reminds me of the second movement of Beethoven's 7th Symphony. The reason:
The Petropolis' little refrain (played just at the minute one and repeated for the following 10 seconds) has exactly the same notes of that Beethoven second movement's repeating refrain. Perhaps Steve Hackett might already be aware of it, I'm not saying he's a fan of Beethoven's music, but who knows?

Sorry, have I done something wrong? If so, it was unintentional

I should be able to spot that quite easily then because the 7th is my fav after Eroica (3rd).

No. But your "aaaagghhh" in your thread title reminded me of what he said when she pulled the ball away.

Oh right...I see...phew....I was worrying that maybe I shouldn't have included a bandcamp link or something.

Well PeterG, I suggest you give it another spin then, you won't regret it.

In fact, it's not that easy to spot it, as just the first 10 notes are the same. Right now put me on the task of counting them while spinning Petropolis again. Case closed.

In the proper PE A-R spirit, Sean, I humbly offer up this link....
