Yes, I thought of that when Tai said he had it all inside. I like Tai's enthusiasm and hopefully the idol incident does not keep a target on him. I'm sure it will be pushed aside once one of the other beaut's puts their foot in their mouth or does something dumb… which is inevitable in Survivor.
I love Tai!! I hope he stays a long time, something along the lines of not being a threat strategy.
Duncan's going to make a Horns Emoticon!!!
Just got the chance to unwind the DVR last night.
Impressive start. I thought giving the teams just 2 minutes to fight over supplies and get them overboard with out a real chance to get to know each other was really cool. Almost like a real shipwreck incident might play out.
Seems like casting did a pretty damn good job this year too.
OMG Anna is divine! Wow, what a knockout! She may be the most attractive survivor I can recall. Elizabeth is no slouch in the looks department either!
Hope they both stick around a long, long time.
I think Caleb's experience on BB will serve him well. His biggest problem will be the target on his back because he will be a challenge beast mode. At least two of the others know he worked well in a strong alliance on BB, so that may help/hurt him, we'll see...
Yeah that bug in the ear was worse then a Phil Collins ear worm. Impressive how the girl bounced right back and competed in the challenge. Nice challenge also.
Should be a great season. Medevacs await....

Interesting TC last night! The Brawn tribe is so screwed!
yep...they're toast.

"Dr. Obama" with the line of the night: "If you asked me if she has 30 or 40 cats, I would lean towards 40." (or something like that.)
"I"m used to the suck". Another good one.
But Tai is cracking me up too, all over- up in the tree (should have been easy for someone who survived 11 days huddled on a boat with no food while escaping Nam?) and his new bromance with Caleb!

Just tuning in to my first episode. Will comment later on what I thought.
Brains to tribal council! I've only watched part of the season one. Looks interesting. Liz out - meh! Could have been Peter.

Why do they vote the good lookers out so early

Peter as Obama…
That got me thinking of something I often do with these reality shows. I usually begin a season by randomly pairing a contestant with their pop culture doppelgänger. This helps me recount events until I have their names down.
Here are a few of mine for this season.
Scot & Richard Kiel
Neal & DJ Qualls
Aubry & Tom Cruise
Elisabeth & Shannon Doherty
Joseph & Robert Blake
Debbie & Gollum (animated Hobbit version)
Debbie & Yoda
those are pretty good! The Jaws/Richard one especially. It was immediately what came to mind when I first saw him.

I find the Debbie/Yoda really funny! She's a wingnut.
That's really interesting. I wonder if the beautiful people get by on their looks in real life and don't have to try so hard, so they never really learn the day-to-day survival skills of ordinary looking people. In a game like Survivor, this comes back to haunt them. Peter actually said at one point last night, that he and Liz were both good looking people. Perhaps he thought that would be enough. Be pretty and smart and people will listen to you. It's not a strategy that's ever worked for me personally.
I would have liked to see Liz stick around a bit longer, only because she seemed like such a spoiled princess and I'm pretty sure that there was a really great meltdown brewing.
I can't believe 2 of the 3 "non-annoying winners" I chose are already gone. GONE! ADIOS! POOF!
So I'm going to have to make some significant adjustments to my categories after week 3:
Big Fat Losers: Darnell, Jennifer, Liz
Arrogant Douchebags: Peter, Nick
Head Cases: Aubry, Debbie, Alecia, Joe
Idol Holders: Tai, Kyle/Scot
Boobies!: Julia, Anna, Michele
Winner Edits: Neal, Caleb, Cydney
I created a few new categories, Big Fat Losers, Idol Holders, and Boobies! are self-explanatory. Winner Edits are people that are being shown in a very favorable light, which means they have a good chance of getting to the final 3.
