He wasn't even the oldest person in Gong--that would be Gilli Smyth, I think.

    Ozzie?

    Arthur Brown?
A friend saw Ozzie in the mall, said he looked like a zombie. Zombies are already dead, so it cant be him.

I saw Arthur Brown a month or two ago, and I can tell you he will probably outlive most of us (and I am not even 40 yet)

Not the ones who already died. It's less emotionally risky to like them. I'm going to get very into Burl Ives. Look how young he is here:

Mythos, that's a dreadful outlook really awful, I don't want to think about that

Gilli Smyth will turn 83 this upcoming summer.

Jimmy Hastings (Canterbury reeds player) will turn 78.

Mani Neumeier of Guru Guru (plus countless) will be 76 this year.

Hans-Joachim Roedelius (of Cluster, Harmonia and more) is 81.

    Don Preston is 83!

David LaFlamme (It's a Beautiful Day) is 75.

I wouldn't know how old Steve Howe is.

I'm glad he's dead! All the drugs must finally have caught up with him.

“I was sorry to have my name mentioned as one of the great authors, because they have a sad habit of dying off. Chaucer is dead, Spencer is dead, so is Milton, so is Shakespeare, and I’m not feeling so well myself.”

I'm a big fan of silent/very early talkie films and many of those stars have lived to their late 90s.

Bet he's got a really flattering portrait in his attic.

Well, people then can 'die young' compared to him:

Perhaps, but have you ever known anyone to recover from threadbaring disease?
    I don't think so.

Yuz, the bass howler from Rising by Rainbow - the one album that levitated my mind from Kizz-y silliness into a full-blown rock fan back when I was 10 years old. The fact that he played on "Stargazer" alone should serve to hallow his nomen.

Indeed, the hairs on my arms still stand on end when Stargazer comes on.
