Undies, socks and a friggin' climbing drone from my first ex-wife.

Message to go hang from my second and third ex-wives, plus a "fuck you, asshole!" from my 77-year old dad when I told him he had ruined my miserable sister's existence.

1 litre of homemade sloe liqueur from my best bud, plus a set of checkers and a framed blowup of the occasion when we interviewed Allen Ginsberg back in '93. Oh, and my employer got me a scarf so that I might not get ill and have to stay home during winter.

I got myself a Lagavulin isley single malt, plus some vinyls (new Dungen, Needlepoint etc.), a bottle of mead, zum guten marzipan and a wornout tophat.

I got a moment of silence in remembernce of Christopher Hitchens and a few minutes to contemplate the disasterous destruction of Pagan culture and where civilization might be tody if the resultant thousand year decline and Dark Age had been avoided.

With three ex-wives and a ruining father, you need the sloe liquer, the Lagavulin (my favorite!), and the mead!

Enjoy, and have a happy new year! Your posts are always a lot of fun and make me think, my friend!

I didn't get any alcoholic beverages this year, but I've imbibed enough Christmas beer for the season (we'll see...), and am enjoying a little Brugal Anejo Dominican rum tonight, which I developed a taste for while living in Washington Heights, where you could buy it for a song.

A couple of books, a Seahawks scarf, a couple of kitchen items, a movie.

My favorite gift was the book by Dennis Dunaway about his times in the original Alice Cooper group.

I don't ask for music and no one buys me music, since I buy a ton of it for myself each year.

Had a great time spending the day with family.

It's what the holidays should be about. I know a lot of families don't get along and it's not pretty. It's nice to hear when someone's had a good time with family members. We had a good time Christmas Day with all the kids and grand kids.

CTTOI, I got a few gifts from coworkers too:

    a bottle of wine
a mug filled with Hershey's Kisses
    Chocolate covered oreos (homemade)
    an umbrella
a giftcard for restaurants such as The Yardhouse, which I think we'll use today since we'll be at a mall.
My wife will get to see the new Star Wars with my son, while I make the supreme sacrifice of seeing the NEW Chipmunks movie with our younger son.
