Last week a teacher in a Maryland county cleared the desks and shaded the windows and let two girls go at it for thirty seconds. What's the difference. He may lose his job as a substitute teacher.

Maybe he can get a job as a referee?

I either take my out my old AM/FM transistor radio (kids get a kick outta that) or use app Simple Radio to listen to Hofstra Radio who broadcast the games.

It does grind my gears that they put games on Hulu.

Islanders pull their own version of the Jets butt fumble and have 3 players collide like it was a Three Stooges skit.

Just End The Season holds true for the Isles too

Broke out the old school, 50 odd year old transistor radio for the Yankee game yesterday. After sitting in a drawer unused for decades, it's getting put back to work with the streaming games that I don't have. Isles have a bunch of these games too, pisses me off

So Fubo now has Yes Network, MSG and SNY for streaming - it's the way to go IMO.

In Toronto w/ my son visiting during his spring break.

Went to Hockey Hall of Fame - totally fucking awesome - a really well done space.

On way to Maple Leafs v Lightning now (615pm) - apparently if Buds win - they're in - gonna be rooting against that and The Pajama Boy ;-)

Bettman’s ridiculous points system is working to perfection in the East. Got 5 teams going for 2 spots in the last 2 weeks of the season. That’s lots of tickets, beers, pretzels etc sold. Don’t like it but this year it works for us so I’ll take it! Bring on the playoffs!

So I stop watching the Isles after March 21nd debacle in the home whites.

It's quite obvious from the standings that my boycott had both the affect and effect desired.

But I am not here to talk about that.

It would appear just when Tortorella has gone to the "whip" - things moving the wrong way as a result.

Could cost him his job after only two years.... Who woulda thought? [emoji848]

    Re: Coyotes
This experiment has finally run its course. I don't understand why Bettman/NHL bent over backwards for over a decade to save this (in the first instance) bad idea. I certainly feel for the Yotes fans - just like I felt for the OG Winnipeg fans who lost the franchise to start with.... Don't get me started on now he let the Coyotes play in a college arena when he single handedly forced the Isles out of the old 13k seat Coliseum.... ;-)

IMO - NHL hockey is not popular enuff to support 32 teams - the financials are not there for sure - some would argue the talent is not there either (parity by dilution/diffusion)

    Re: Yotes cont'd
And it would appear that the Yotes seller will get to keep the Coyotes logos and associated TMs - apparently due to a "promise" from Bettman for AZ to get the next expansion team!

    Really?! 33 teams?!?

^ Why are they bothering to sell and move at all? Just award the Salt Lakers an expansion team.

i've read articles that they want to expand to like 36 or so teams. Which would definitely be too much.

And I never understand why you move a team and then put an expansion back in the original location. Just put the expansion team in the new locale.

Remember when Bettman brought in The Great One to save them? [emoji38]

They have no arena + Mullet Arena holds 5k. They have no land for an arena. Voters in two municipalities over last 12 years have turned down new stadiums.... The NHLPA is barking at the way way way below facility standards (never minding no booties in seats). NHL/Bettman cannot let the low seat totals stand - they prefer 15k plus - otherwise it sets bad precedent when other owners get into arena squabbles with mayors - "go play at the college rink down the street - you did it before for multiple years...."

It's been a slow moving shit show for a small eternity....

So to prevent a third year of this + force the sale now with a promissory note for the future....

^ Ah...It sounds like they lack the infrastructure for a major league franchise.

Red Wings season is over, but they were a lot of fun to watch this year. I think good things are coming in Hockeytown within the next few years.

Yes! Last night’s game was intense. I like the way they battled back to tie it up with 3.3 seconds left.
Next year is gonna be special.
