Jeebus... he's touring for the entire first half of next year.
I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.

And playing bigger venues in his return to those cities...No PA dates

I thought he'd be playing bigger venues, but on his NEXT album tour!

Beacon Theater; last played on PT's Blank Planet Tour. I'm in, again.

I don't understand it, it has the same capacity as the Park West, but much worse acoustics and sound. Unless he's designing it as an all seater.

I thought The Vic was a strange choice too. I have only been there once, but it seemed to be about the same size as Park West and not nearly as nice. The last Park West shows were all seated, so that does not seem to be any different. Could just be a scheduling conflict or something, but seems odd considering he sold out two shows at PW the last time.

They all say "we love Australia and we're keen to get back soon", but it's all talk.

Saw SW in Albany at the Egg earlier this year. We're thinking Boston or NY this time 'round...so any presale passwords would be greatly appreciated.

I wonder if he'll change the set from the 2015 tour. I saw the Albany show in May and watched the stream of the LA show a few times, so I'd prefer some variation. Will go regardless though.

His website says this about the European shows that happen in January. It doesn't say, but I'd assume he would continue with this approach for the NA shows later in 2016:

Some more details about my forthcoming European tour, which starts in mid January: The show will be divided into 2 halves with an interval. The first half will be a complete performance of Hand. Cannot. Erase. (including Transience which has not been played live before), and the second half will be based on music from the forthcoming album 4 ½ and older repertoire, some of which we played at the recent Royal Albert Hall shows but have not yet toured.

He'll have some new music out in January, so I expect he'll be mixing things up a bit.

STEVEN WILSON RETURNING TO NA IN 2016

I'm really tempted to wedge the word BARELY into that header^^^. What a tease...

Can't this tour hit the cities the Raven tour did? Will it eventually? I suspect the demand is even better now than then and then it was packed.

Well do it if you must...i just copied it from his website. I understand a lot of folks are disappointed he's not going near them "yet." But i think the dates are stilling added?
I'm actually surprised he's adding these dates on at all. I think the first leg was pretty jam packed. The album and chatter must really be great, and good for him, no one deserves it more in my view.

I'm surprised to see him booked in two seated theaters in Toronto and Montreal... I'll most likely attend the Montreal show...

I just bought tickets to the egg, and fucked up my order. I somehow ended up with three tickets, so I have one ticket for sale if anyone wants it! Second row orchestra seat 110.

Massey Hall in Toronto. Biggest venue for him here yet. I wonder if he could actually play an arena some day? Oh yes, and any presale passwrod help for Toronto would certainly be appreciated!

Yeah, he's played pretty much all the main smaller venues (Phoenix, Danforth, Opera House)... time to see him at the best venue yet! I'll be hitting that show.
