I was standing right behind the guy who took this video... who unfortunately was standing behind someone else also taking a video.

Cell phones are the worst thing to ever happen to live music events. Everyone has to hold up their phones and block your view so they can take a shitty YouTube video nobody is going to watch.

If it makes the Cavanagh brothers feel any better, I'd much rather listen to Anathema than U2.

I've always found U2 to be one of those "if you've heard one of their songs you've heard them all" bands.

I think that's a rather extreme statement, but I do think that if you have The Unforgettable Fire and Achtung Baby, you probably have the essential U2.

I agree, this is misplaced humility on behalf of the Cavanagh brothers. There are stylistic similarities between the bands - powerful soaring vocal passages, places where the voice holds a single note while lots of things are happening with the guitars and drums - but Anathema are far better at actually writing melodies.

Some a-hole recorded all of Dust in the Wind at the Kansas show I went to recently. Idiot.

I think they do this to boost the price of the DVD version. And thinking Blu-Ray fans are a little more upscale and therefore will be willing to pay for the fanciest box set version. Unfortunately this is quite common for Anathema and other bands.

Why not sell the CDs separately, then the DVD and the BR separately?
