Fragile remix with previously unknown-ish song All Fighters Past

    http://yesworld.com/2015/08/yess-fra...-out-30th-oct/

Among many bonus tracks is "All Fighters Past", described as "which incorporates ideas that would later form parts of “The Revealing Science of God” (Tales from Topographic Oceans) & “Siberian Khatru” (Close to The Edge) performed in the style of Roundabout!" We'd know for some years that Tales included some recycled material, but this is the first I've ever heard of this piece.

I thought we'd been told that there was no more unheard material from this era. Obviously, there is some. Looking forward to this track.

I've heard some stuff from CTTE sessions on a recording I have but it obviously didn't included this nugget..

This is presumably from Fragile sessions though. It is intriguing, the Revealing reference in the title clues us in to where this ended up, but I wonder how this fits with Siberian Khatru?

No, we'd not been told that there was no more unheard material from this era. I'm surprised by this, I doubt there's much we haven't heard from this era, but there's definitely more in the archives than we know about and I expect some more surprises (if that's not oxymoronic) from future Pangeyric releases.

I know there is also an alternate version of the Remembering... out there, somewhere.

There are alternate versions, I would have thought, of all of Tales and most albums, but alternate versions that are pretty close to the versions we know. Things like "All Fighters Past" or "Everybody's Song" (the early "Does It Really Happen?" on the Rhino Tormato) are rarer... but I think there's still surprises in the archives aplenty.

Given the way Cinema project gestated and evolved, I've always been surprised at how little unheard stuff there is from that time. What've we heard? It's Over, Make it Easy, the It Can Happen demo?

Still waiting for that full-length version of "Cinema" to see the light of day.

    Henry,

Do you know when 'Everybody's Song' was recorded? I am convinced that it's Moraz playing the solo at around 4:40 ... doesn't sound like Wakeman.

Officially, yes, that's it. More has been bootlegged, but there must be more than has even been bootlegged. You could easily do a 3CD 90125 special edition, but I guess no-one's pushing for it.

3CD special edition -- my fantasy: original album remixed by Wilson, all the single edits/remixes, the original pre-Anderson version of the album, additional songs not used ("Make It Easy", "It's Over", "Red Light, Green Light", "Time" {the full-length, 20 minute "Cinema}), Rabin's pre-Cinema demos.

I don't know. Lots of people think it sounds like Moraz. It could be Moraz, but I'm not certain either way.

Wait, what?! There was a 20-minute version of that song and it got cut down to 2 minutes?

Sign me up for the 3CD special edition.

Yes. "Cinema" is its intro, but the full-length thing appears to be 20 minutes, by Rabin/Squire/White/Kaye, and it seems Rabin has the tapes. WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN RELEASED? At times, the band really don't understand what will sell.

Trevor had the opportunity to do up the 90124 release by letting these rare cuts see daylight..

If I had to bet, I'd say it is Moraz on "Everybody's Song."
