I've got a bunch of his albums. I just bought a few last January, including Immersion V, Sigh Of Ages, The Delicate Forever, and Life Sequence. All of them, of course great.
My favorite, though, is still Possible Planet, which was an album he did about 10 years ago, done entirely on a modular synthesizer. He said in the liner notes that he used "no soft synths, no MIDI, and no keyboards". It took me awhile to figure out how he did it without any keyboards.
Anyway, that's kind of the album that got me really interested in going modular (which I'm hoping to finally do in a few short months) and in particular got me interested in getting a Eurorack setup, after hearing the great sounds Roach got on that album. I read an interview at the time where he said he likes to setup a patch on the modular and let it go for several days, recording the whole thing on his computer, then he goes back and finds the interesting bits and compiles those into a finished recording.
