    ROSFest- who's going??!!

Hey, with tickets on sale and doing well from what I gather I'd love to know who from PE is going to be there. In addition to ourselves (Glass Hammer) I'm really excited to see Heliopolis and meet them and also Lo-Fi Resistance (met Randy McStine with Sound Of Contact, nice guy and amazing player!) And of course the mighty Beard, Enchant, Haken, loads of great stuff. If you don't have tickets and you want to go better grab 'em!!

I will be there and will derive great pleasure from some of the bands (yeah, the Chattanooga Choo Choo is one of the bands for me ). I won't name imho the bands this year.

At this point in my life, I really go to these things primarily to hang with good friends who live far away, and just enjoy the music without obsessing (yeah, I know I'm an anomaly!) about it.

I hope I can get through the brief picture show and tribute to my late life partner from Luis when Sonus is onstage. Luis & Kay (both PhD academics), would inevitably go off in a corner from time to time to talk about higher education politics.

Just curious, is Susie doing this gig, Fred?

I don't know how I missed this thread. I pretty much have the same view as you. As you say "I enjoy the music without obsessing." So maybe you aren't an "anomaly" after all.

Hope to say hello when I see you.

    That's reassuring, Bill. Thanks.

Somehow I think I'll be pretty easy to find this year, please say hi!

Yes, Suzie will be there! Wow, I so forgot that Luis was playing. That'll be cool too! I didn't know about the tribute- how awesome. That's going to be tough for everyone...

Not sure yet. It doesn't look good at this point. I do however, have a hotel room booked already though just in case. I'd be more likely to go if I could get a roommate for my hotel room(non smoker ).

Yes, but if you ask me Glass Hammer should be a headliner. No, I'm saying that to get my brownie points in I really feel that way. Haken more famous than GH? Yeah, ok. LMAO.

I'll be going to my first Rosfest, looking forward to it though none of the bands are really in my wheelhouse. I'm sure I'll have fun. I'll be the guy in the Univers Zero and Present shirts.

I will be there. Overall I think it is a very good lineup. There are some bands that I am into more than others, but should be pretty decent from top to bottom. We are renting a townhouse with another couple within walking distance of the venue which is always convenient.

    My third trip this year.
I am just there for the music, everything else is gravy.
It looks to be a great mix of bands.

I'll be there to enjoy the music and my friends, to shoot some nice pictures and make sure Geezer doesn't get into (too much) trouble.

We're the sorta-headliners We have a fantastic slot really. Rehearsals are going really well. Should be about the tightest we've ever been! This is the 3rd go-round for this lineup, and we'll be coming off a 2 week mini tour, which never happens. There should be some good surprises in the set. Expect classics and new songs...

Since you brought it up..........with all the albums you guys have, some of them featuring really long songs. How do you go about picking a set list?

IMO, you guys are just as worthy of the headliner designation and I'm looking forward hearing this version of GH.

I will be there for the 4th time. I took the year off with Prog Nation at Sea. I booked the hotel room the day Enchant was announced.

Year number 12 for me. I'll be there to see that Geezer gets into plenty of trouble!
