Which is why I'll never believe that he played everything on Olias. It just doesn't make sense.

Just to be clear, I do believe Jon has played everything on Olias. At least the Jon I see from the 1975 QPR DVD could have. But not the Jon from today (or for the past 35 years or so)...

But, back to subject, I find Page of Life a pretty fine album. I too have a problem with the "sax" sound Vangelis is using on this, as well as some of the drums sounds, but overall it's a decent record, with some nice compositions by Vangelis and strong vocals by Jon.

I love many of the tracks on this album. There are a few tunes I don't care for, and it's easy enough to skip them and enjoy the rest. So, I rate this album highly.

Just to be clear, I do believe Jon has played everything on Olias.

I believe it is all him too. The sound of some of the instruments isn't too far removed from Vangelis, but then again, some of those instruments were simply of their time. The actual writing/playing has little to none of the compositional style that Vangelis had during that era. That isn't a slam on Anderson, just kind of an acknowledgement of the difference in creative styles between the two of them.
