    There's a certain amount of that here as well, but the CBC is a crown corporation so not totally bottom-line driven. Our news is also a "TV Show" but we haven't sunk to the "5 simple items in your home that could kill your child...details at 11..." level yet.

    Back on topic though...Glad this piece of shit was taken out, but more importantly, very sad to hear about that soldier killed in cold blood. Rest in peace.

    It was Canada's Sgt.-At-Arms who shot the piece of shit. The attached video is a very moving tribute to him as he entered the House Of Commons this morning when Parliament resumed. No matter how right he was to shoot the guy, it can't be easy to take a man's life and return to work less than 24 hours later. (I can't get the video to imbed, you'll have to click on the link).
