Don't know, I did read on their facebook page that about 50% of the songwriting for the next one is done. Very curious about the musical direction
I think the only record that has a PoS feel is Phlegethon. On In Crescendo they started to move in a different direction, with less metal and more nuances and sophistication. I can hear a lot of...
Official video for the (beautiful) song If Only launched
http://youtu.be/bT63LOSXo8I
The video is made by Gaston vinas, a guy who worked for a Radiohead animated video. Eidos by Kingcrow is a beast of a record, my AOTY for sure. If you miss the heavy PT sound you'd check this guys.
Yeah I've heard that, but the hope is still there...
I hope they will bring this show in Europe, the setlist is killer!
is just me or the Riverside song has the same chorus of Pineapple Thief's "Alone at Sea"?
I think Eidos is with Leprous last one the album of the year, just a matter of taste I guess
Only the single, not that exciting to me. Better to be good since Kingcrow's "Eidos" did set the bar quite high for this style of prog
Listened to it twice this morning and yes, it is just amazing from start to finish. Any Porcupine Tree, Opeth and Anathema fan should check out this record. Plus they are italian like me :horns
...
Such an amazing record!! This is definitely AOTY material :up
Another track from the new Kingcrow album "Eidos" available...and yes, it is beautiful! http://bravewords.com/news/kingcrow-bravewords-streaming-new-at-the-same-pace-track
Not that much into tech details but the overall feeling I have is that it sounds very good :) "Eidos" is one of my most anticipated records of the year, cannot wait to listen to it
I love the production on In Crescendo, I think it sounds great (and yes I agree, great record). What about the drums sound?
Not sure how much i like this one. Everything is very well done but sounds like Neal is starting to sounds a bit always the same to me
New Kingcrow single "The Moth" from the upcoming album "Eidos"... It sounds great!

New Kingcrow song/video out! Awesome :horns

One of my favourite "new" bands out there. The new album Eidos will be out June 23.
EDIT: on their site website www.kingcrow.it there's the album artwork
Speaking of the harder side of prog i think the winner this year are:
Kingcrow - In Crescendo
Haken - The Mountain
Leprous - Coal
Kingcrow is one of my favourite band and they are from Rome, where I live so i'm a little bit proud of that also. They are, to me, the best prog band around here in italy right now of the not...
I'm not in the band :D but I'm from their hometown, Rome and I know one of them :)
Saw this on their facebook page:
We're happy to announce that we'll be headed out on a European mini-tour as joined headliners with Spheric Universe Experience in August/September. The tour dates...
My Favourite italian band at the moment is Kingcrow (i'm italian :) )

How it was the Kingcrow show at the afterparty? I'm going to see them here in italy in few months
Beautiful song and video!! Wow! :up
Big fan here.
I think OK Computer is an essential album of the last decades and I think it is "prog". My favourite RH era is The Bends/Ok COmputer/Kid A
New song available HERE
It sounds Killer to me!
It seems to me that Wilson lost the art of write songs instead of something that sounds like a very good "jam session"... The album is good to me, but not that great. What i loved in PT was the...
That's really Shocking! :cool
Anyway...i never heard the whole Yes -tales from... started few times but never heard to the end..
The new EPK is now online

I'm a fan of Patton so totally shit eating everything he does...
Yeah! Saw them play the whole album here in Italy and it was an amazing show...hope the new one is good as Phlegethon! :up
Don't know if anyone here knows about them, anyway the last album Phlegethon (2010) was album of the year in a lot of 'zines (and the reason i discovered them) and it is one of my favourite prog...
To me it is one of the worst Rush albums ever...but this doest not mean it is a BAD album. Songs like Test For Echo, Driven, Totem, Time and Motion and Resist are Kick ass!!! On the other side it has...
It's impossible just to pick one song...anyway..
Rush - Cygnus X-1
King Crimson - Starless
Pink Floyd - Confortably Numb
Rush - La Villa Strangiato
The Last two have in my opinion two of...
A masterpiece but to me not at the level of Moving Pictures... but i tend to consider masterpiece all the records from 2112 to Hold Your Fire...
This.
It seems to me that Steven is more pleased and interested to do his own stuff than work on a new PT album (and to me his last solo album is more interesting than The Incident BY FAR)...anyway fingers...
So you don't like In Absentia??? Fr me it is their VERY best with Signify and Stupid Dream...the incident is just :-|
I am a fan of most of Steven work but i have to say The Incidente disappointed me for the most...i think there are few brillian moment on that record and the songwriting is just "tired" if you know...
Operation:Mindcrime and Empire... totally shitty cover and great albums :D
