Yes, although I can't find the videos now, John Mitchell was having a a very difficult time playing the right notes at that gig which I thought was strange - under rehearsed I suppose.

Well there's still time yet, all the other 40th anniversary releases were rather late and Grace was still a platinum album so hopefully we'll get some good bonus live stuff.

I have The Blue Notebooks and From Sleep on cd. Steven Wilson got me interested too and the film Arrival which has The Nature of Daylight as its main theme if I remember right. Sleep is interesting...

I don't know if you know but Ebony released her first album a couple of years ago, there is a video for each of the songs and it's up on Bandcamp - highly recommended.

I don't think Azure have ever been mentioned here before. They are a young English band from Brighton here on the south coast who are releasing their 3rd full length album called 'Fym' next month....

The last verse....when the full band come back in on "the moon is rising" line, its a golden prog moment. This album is likely to be my fave of the year I think.

Carrying No Cross has always been a slow burner for me, something of an overlooked classic. It really has to be listened to closely to really appreciate it which I think I'm going to do right now.

I have to agree, I'd much rather listen to Open Your Eyes, Union or Heaven & Earth than Talk, even 90125 or BG are not quite as bad, it is without doubt the bottom of the barrel for me. Just MY...

It still does to me aged 60, listening to that album when in the right frame of mind is like a sort of meditation and it still sounds different every time I play it.

Well that would apply to all vinyl releases since the boom of cd and the subsequent resurgence of vinyl sales in recent years. People are not so worried about sound quality, its just nice to have...

^^^ Lol! I love Tales, that is top 3 for me along with GFTO and Relayer. Maybe it would be fair to say that Tales and Talk are diametrically opposed.

Isn't it strange? Talk is for me the most detested Yes album ever and yet you rate it with what are my faves too. We all hear different things that's for sure.

Punk sold a fraction of what Prog did and died out after about a year. The result? 80's synth pop and the 'New Romantics' of Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet. That really worked didn't it?

Those two ignorant interviewers are David Hepworth and Mark Ellen, they were the guys who made Smash Hits & Q Magazine (here in the UK) big successes in the 80's and who were the sort of media...
