Yes, I've seen it before. They have several other videos, including versions of Genesis and Yes songs. The lead singer is very charismatic and very beautiful and I'm sure she could become a sucessfull pop -or even prog- singer in her home country.

Witherscape - A Cry For Everyone (Gentle Giant cover)

Nice cover, bringing out the desire of the original to rawk out. Alas, the cookiemonster vocals nearly ruin it.

    But only nearly.
Cobra handling and cocaine use are a bad mix.

Not bad - never heard of it before, so thanks. Close to the original arrangement with the fore mentioned quasi-crumbling cookies...

Black Light Orchestra played Orion Saturday night and killed on a Giant Cover, as well as Freefall by Camel.

    From the Bulgarian thread:

The Gentle Giant tracks have wrong titles.

A Reunion (Rob Martino - Chapman Stick)

This stuff is all great!. Love hearing that people are so into Giant they want to make it their own. I need a hanky...
Interesting to hear how often vocals are taken by women regardless if originally Minnear or Shulman

Perhaps finding the happy medium is harder than we know.

Here's an interesting one, which came up on YouTube as a consequence of Robert's post:

An Italian chamber orchestra, playing arrangements of GG material with Gary and Malcolm as guests.

There's also apparently a CD, which can be ordered at http://www.hdmusicstore.it/it/home/1...tle-giant.html

I've been playing Funny Ways with my acoustic duo for 25 years, yet don't seem to have any recordings of it. Maybe I'll get motivated and do it soon so I can post it to this thread. We don't have violin and I play a guitar solo in place of the vibes solo (we more or less do the live arrangement from Playing the Fool).
