Bee Gees-Spirits having flown
if I like it, it's not a guilty pleasure
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
Huey Lewis - Sports. There, I said it.
Asia
no tunes, no dynamics, no nosebone
Many of you would consider this a guilty pleasure.
However, the first album that turned me on to Gentle Giant from my classic rock upbringing....
....wait for it...

Nothing guilty about that! I think Side 2 is fairly pedestrian, but Side 1 is brilliant from start to finish.
Like someone else said, you shouldn't feel guilty about liking something - perhaps the thread title should be "what album do you like that other members would probably turn up their noses at?". In which case, mine is probably ABBA - The Album.
My friends give me sh*t for loving Journey / Infinity.
Not really an album, because I've so far only heard two songs by these guys I really like (out of at least four or five), but there is this (and I'm promise this is kind of humiliating that I like this):
Apart from that, i suppose there's Pac Man Fever, I kinda still like that album (yes, I have an LP copy around here some place, a promo copy I fished out of the 2 dollar bin at Wax Stax about a gazillion years ago)
Yes - "Heaven & Earth"
"Henry Cow always wanted to push itself, so sometimes we would write music that we couldn't actually play – I found that very encouraging." - Lindsay Cooper, 1998
"I have nothing to do with Endless River. Phew! This is not rocket science people, get a grip." - Roger Waters, 2014
"I'm a collector. And I've always just seemed to collect personalities." - David Bowie, 1973
yeah, but then again I never had bad musical tastes!!
sorry, couldn't resist
but seriously, I have taste that very few can attack or turn into derision something that would be in my shelves
Yikes!!! That bad, uh??
Not heard it yet, but AFAIAC, Yes would be GP ever since 90125

I have no guilty pleasures, but... I don't know of anyone else who likes this album, but I don't care.
Metallica: St. Anger
You'd be afraid/ashamed to admit in public that you liked Madonna or Michael Jackson (or something not trumy embarrassing)?
OK, being an atheist, I'm fairly free of the judeo-christian concept of guilt and shame (although I suppose that I'm not totally unexposed to it or "guilty" of it either). Heah sure, as a teen, I also hid that I actually liked a couple of Bee Gees disco-era songs, for fear to appear gay to the football team-mates, but I grew out of that dumb peer pressure
As much as I loathe country music (and I do!!! It's probably one of the things about Unitedstatian culture - I'll accept "Americana" term in this case - that I dislike strongly), I still wouldn't call this a GP if I liked it...

Anything by classic era Moody Blues. For when my otherwise sophisticated palette craves Velveeta.....
Hell, they ain't even old-timey ! - Homer Stokes
