I'm not a Warriors fan, but it always sucks to see talented players go down with injuries.

    Oh, and congrats Raps fans.

I didn't know KD ruptured his Achilles I knew he hurt himself in game 5 but didn't know it was that serious. Both he and Klay should rehab all next year and re-up with GS. They'll be back.

It's about time someone else won for a change. Now if only a lesser team can bring down the Patriots.

Not as long as the NFL continues to make money off them.

^ Yeah, cuz without the Pats winning, the NFL would have a hard time making money.

Are there any Canadian players in the NBA? Just curious.

Fifteen players, including one of the Raptors.

For the NHL - a huge number!

Well, that's good to know. Basket Ball was invented in Canada.

I don't think so. It was invented by a Canadian, but I think he was in Massachusetts (or thereabouts) when he came up with it. I think the HoF is in that town, but the name escapes me at the moment.

It's easy to look up, but I recall the guy was American but he was living in Canada and worked at YMCA. Or it might be the other way around. I wanna say his Surname was Naismith, or something similar.

Steve Nash, one of the best players ever for the Suns and Mavericks is from Vancouver BC.

I am thinking Nola got the better of that deal, long term. LA is a train wreck.

^ LA has to be counting on signing free agents, otherwise it's hard to see. NO has something like 4 of the Lakers last #1 picks, with 3 more to come. This could be the Lindros trade all over again.

^ It's reminiscent of the Herschel Walker trade as well. LA literally has to sign a huge free agent, or this will go down as one of the most laughable trades of all time. Even if they do get a free agent, they only have a short window. I mean, come on, Lebron is going to be 35 in December.

Was a big Viking fan when the Walker trade went down. And a Laker fan for the last 40 years. I’m starting to break out in a cold sweat. Has this type of trade ever worked for the team that got the one player but gave up a ton of players? In any sport?

sad we'll never get to see Zion + AD (if only because I wanted to see how the hell that would work) but still a cool trade, Lakers are gonna be a fun heel team and NO might potentially be great in a couple of years

Robbie was traded for a good pitcher (Milt Pappas) and two part timers. Ruth was traded for cash. I was thinking more along the lines of teams that gave up significant players and / or draft picks. Yes both these trades were one sided as the Sox were just dumping their team for cash, and mainly to the Yanks and FR was a hall of famer.

Great playoff run by the Raps. Watched every minute. Credit for me gos to their defensive play and over-all balance in the lineup. Everybody contributed on different nights, led by Leonard. Van Vleet was the clutch performer and kyle was the spark plug. But Ibaka and Gasol played their asses off defensively as did the rest.

I have to say, it was my first extensive look at the Warriors. I've seen games in the playoffs and stuff, but being on the coast, not too often. Currie and Thompson are super-human. I've rarely seen two better shooters. They battled like true Warriors through all the injuries.

Wait til you see the parade and celebrations today folks. And after you marvel at that....imagine it 100X more when the Leafs win.
